I read that site, Joe - thanks for the link. It reminds me of a line a Thompson-hater on this board wrote back in the early spring last year - that even if the Packers managed to win the Super Bowl, it would be all luck anyway.
While I am a Thompson fan and have been from the beginning, what really gets my goat is less the criticism than the overall attitude, which is emblematic of so much of what is wrong with our country today.
It's this idea that you're going to believe what you want, and any evidence that undermines your viewpoint - even solid, factual evidence - will be dismissed casually. In this case, as "luck."
So, in order to keep hating Ted Thompson, this poster last year and the rest of the Thompson-haters will be willing to believe that the Packers' 11-5 season has been all "luck" and nothing more. That in fact luck alone could get any team to the Super Bowl.
That's why Patler is one of my favorite posters. He actually pays attention to the evidence. I admire posters who are willing to see or try to see both sides of a debate and who offer evidence in support of their opinions."The Devine era is actually worse than you remember if you go back and look at it."

I won't matter what happens with the team. We could win the Super Bowl and the TT haters will still be chirping because they will NEVER forgive him for trading away their hero even tho it is plainly clear that moving on with Rodgers was the right decision for the future of the franchise.Comment
