  • Jets versus Chargers

I think we had a deferral by the Jets on the coin toss/kickoff. They lost 25 yards of field position on the exchange of punts.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

Chargers have too many weapons IMO; Revis can only alternating shutting down one person.

That guy is a player; see him lay a nasty lick on LT

The house of PR had it right when most voted Woodsen deserved the MVP but Revis was the better CB
TERD Buckley over Troy Vincent, Robert Ferguson over Chris Chambers, Kevn King instead of TJ Watt, and now, RICH GANNON, over JIMMY JIMMY JIMMY LEONARD. Thank you FLOWER

False start at home. They should run stairs until they puke.

Gates might end up with about 50 catches today.

I've always like Phillip Rivers, but wow does it look painful when he throws the ball.

Chargers would be lucky to be 8-8 without Gates. Jackson is a decent #2 and Floyd is just a guy right now, but has promise. Gates is the guy who creates the mis-match.

I think you might be underestimating Jackson. He just got ranked in the top 5 toughest to cover.
The larger point about the team might be true. Their defense slipped this year as the offense flourished.

I think if you take Jackson away from Gates, he isn't half the receiver he is now.

Wow, an actual option off a shortgun snap. Nice idea. Too bad al 11 Chargers were on the LOS.

This is like a Packers game. Dominating, penalties and keeping the lesser team in the game early.

I too think Jackson is on the cusp of the top tier and maybe in the middle of the second tier of the top WR's. He's not near the Andre Johnsons of the world IMO but he's right with the Ocho's and probably better. They are a different type of WR but in terms of ratings I think he might be in the same range as a Jennings.....albeit a bit lower, than Jennings. Agree on Gates....monster....and Floyd...just a guy

guy's release looks painful and you'd think his arm is mush but he always seems to get the job done

So far, the NFL seeds are sticking up for themselves. And rest is paying off.

Hey, pb, what was that you wrote me the other day in another thread about NFL coaches never deferring as a strategy?

I love the Jets. Defense and the ground game.
One time Lombardi was disgusted with the team in practice and told them they were going to have to start with the basics. He held up a ball and said: "This is a football." McGee immediately called out, "Stop, coach, you're going too fast," and that gave everyone a laugh.
