  • 96 NFC Championship - nfln

Anyone else watching this on NFLN?

I haven't thought of this game since '96 (as a 15 yr old). Rewatching it now is surreal.

And I can actually remember some of the specific plays. When Brooks got knocked into a Packer coach who cracked his head on the concrete.

Jurko's knee getting cut by Allen and being super pissed off.

Packers lost momentum and got emotional after that dirty hit. We got dominated in TOP in the first half and the talent (Aikman, Emmit, Irvin, Sanders, that Oline) were too much.

    Man I hate the cowboys.

I don't watch any of the crap the NFLN plays that has to do with old Packer games. They play that game, Super Bowl XXXII, and "The Catch II". None of the good games. Assholes.

They have reshown XXXI, Favre-Oakland, etc. Good with the bad.

This was an intense game - the Packers really hated the Cowboys - and both sides were a little dirty (some would say more on the 'boys).

Gotta like watching Winters, Brooks, Sean Jones/Reggie White, etc.

Crazy how 'old' those mid 90s teams were compared to our recent history.

When you get watching the game, you start rooting for the Packers, then you catch yourself.

        It's fun, I think.

Yeup. Ed Hoculi must've hit the roids shortly after this period of life.

Crazy that Brent is still playing - I'm almost 30 and didn't have my driver's license when this was played.

              I have :P

It's tough to rewatch games we lost. I still have the Giant's and AZ games on my DVR... don't want to rewatch to move them to DVD - but don't want to delete them either.

I got this for Christmas a year ago:

Always fun to pop in a game. Especially when the regular season is a bit frustrating.
