  • Gregg Williams Contract Demands

.. included that they hire his son as an assistant. Did anyone hear that about his Green Bay offer? Tennessee wouldn't do it due to existing rules about hiring. So he was off to the Saints.

    Via PFT from the Tennessean

    * Williams spoke to Jim Wyatt of the Nashville Tennessean about nearly taking a job with the Titans last year. Tennessee offered more money than New Orleans, but wouldn't hire Williams' son. It's fascinating stuff we recommend checking out. Titans fans have to wonder what could have been.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

Ah, we could have had nepotism!

Is his son ten years old or so? Maybe the kid's a Madden genius.

        He's 24, w/ a degree from Princeton.

Blake Williams assists the Saints' offensive coaches "in all aspects of game preparation, including film breakdown, player and unit scouting reports, the creation of playbooks and during practice," according to the team's website. He served as a coaching intern with the Redskins during the 2006-07 season and last season worked as a defensive assistant under his father with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

I never knew any of this 'til you guys started this thread.

"Hey, kid, scratch the underside of my balls, willya? I got an itch down there."

That sounds like it could fit into that very vague job description.

Wouldn't he be better off being an assistant coach at some high school for a couple years?

So he's a gofer? What's the big deal about a guy who's about to sign a multimillion dollar contract in a competitive market asking his potential employer to get his kid a job making photocopies?

Chuck Cecil took the Titans job, so this even qualifies as Packer news. If he coaches at all like he played, I would love to hear some of Chuck's motivational speeches.

I heard he yells so hard that he bleeds from the bridge of his nose.

Chuck might be bleeding, but not from the speeches. They had a rough year on D.
