  • Patriots' Coaching Staff Strategy

So PFT is reporting today that the Patriots will have neither an offensive coordinator nor a defensive coordinator for the upcoming season.

I'm curious what the advantages of that would be. Does anybody know?

I don't know what the Patriots' motives are, but it's obvious that it's one less layer of administration between Belicek and his players. It also puts the egomaniac in full charge. Not to mention the payroll savings if, in fact, they are losing two coaching positions and not adding them somewhere else.

I've often thought that there are way too many coaches on modern NFL teams. KISS.
One time Lombardi was disgusted with the team in practice and told them they were going to have to start with the basics. He held up a ball and said: "This is a football." McGee immediately called out, "Stop, coach, you're going too fast," and that gave everyone a laugh.

I don't think they can find any more guys to wear that God-Awful short sleeve hoodie.

I think they are having psychics instead of coordinators. They will read the mind of their opponents and then let BB know what the other team is doing.

It's the next level of Spygate.

But will Belicheck call all the plays, O and D?
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

The question we ask of all people like BB - is he out of his mind or is he a genius?
