One time Lombardi was disgusted with the team in practice and told them they were going to have to start with the basics. He held up a ball and said: "This is a football." McGee immediately called out, "Stop, coach, you're going too fast," and that gave everyone a laugh.

      • Lenny looked like he was going to fumble the trophy for a minute.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

            • And Bob McGinn was just telling us that Polian didn't think 6 foot QBs could make it (except he mentioned Brees as the exception).

Red, there are no free agent coups. They're all washed up and overpaid.

                You know better than that!

Rivers is the real deal. But the defense keeps getting worse.

No there aren't. I think Montana was closer to 6 even than the listed 6' 2". But Brees is an exception.

                          Name the signings!
                          oops

                          I'll start with a few

                          KEY PLAYERS
                          Greer
                          Sharper
                          Vilma, I think

And I know they filled some depth with others
One thing that could be troubling for the Saints is that this may be it for a while. Apparently half of their roster are FAs after this season. I saw this on another website, but am still looking for the source of the statement.
All hail the Ruler of the Meadow!

i still think brees is the better qb, by quite a bit, and san diego would be much better with him then rivers.

not to mention brees would have been cheaper to keep then rivers was to draft

rivers is good, but since that trade i think brees has put up the best numbers in the league, i think

plus drew isn't and asshat like rivers

He's looked like a genius much of the season

                              • I guess Sean Payton proves to be the best head coach of the Class of 2006.
