For those who want to relive the glorious 2004 draft, here you go:

    2004 - Green Bay Packers
Rd Sel # Player Position School
1 25 Ahmad Carroll CB Arkansas
3 70 Joey Thomas CB Montana State
3 72 Donnell Washington DT Clemson
    3 87 B.J. Sander P Ohio State
6 179 Corey Williams DT Arkansas State
    7 251 Scott Wells C Tennessee
yikes... if that's not a "last but certainly not least" draft then I don't know what is.

Sad Part is, I ATTENDED the Draft Day Party at the Atrium for this draft

Saw Mike Sherman and some of the players that day.
TERD Buckley over Troy Vincent, Robert Ferguson over Chris Chambers, Kevn King instead of TJ Watt, and now, RICH GANNON, over JIMMY JIMMY JIMMY LEONARD. Thank you FLOWER

Speaking of the Draft Day party, are they doing that at Lambeau this year? I haven't seen anything at Packers.com and I'm wondering if they're not going to do it since the draft is spread over 3 days now.

I was there too. It was a good time though. Carroll was a head scratcher.

Speaking of bad draft picks, what are the odds Justin Harrell gets magically healthy? That would be nice.

HAHA. The same odds as Jarret Bush outplaying Woodson. Why did you name yourself after him anyways, to break his injury habits or something?

On a serious note, I remember reading a report a few weeks back that said Harrell was at his best health yet and might see limited playing time. Of course you never know with these sites and for Harrell, "best health yet" doesn't really say much since he's never been healthy.

I never thought Flanagan would ever be able to overcome his leg injury, and after about three years and a trade away and back again he gave us some good years.

I think Harrel becoming a valuable backup and spot starter is a 50/50 proposition. It's not ridiculous to think it could happen.

Do they keep records for guys who've spent the most time in their career on injured reserve? If so, ole Justin might be Hall of Fame material.
One time Lombardi was disgusted with the team in practice and told them they were going to have to start with the basics. He held up a ball and said: "This is a football." McGee immediately called out, "Stop, coach, you're going too fast," and that gave everyone a laugh.

That would be a great premise for a SPIKE network original series...kind of a sports themed "Entourage" with the main character living the high life, driving his coach crazy, screwing with the head of his hapless trainer, sneaking girls into the training room whirlpool, and at the end of a five year run in the serie's hyped-up finale we get to find out if Dustin Farrell can really play as he takes the field for the first time to play in a real game for his team.

Last year he was saying his back felt the best it's felt in 5 years. Then he practiced for a week, and his season was over. Anything's possible, but I have a feeling his back may not let him play football again.
