  • Here's some of the top remaining players:

    # Anthony Davis, OT, Rutgers Rising - 6-6- 325
    # Jerry Hughes, LB, TCU - 6'2- 255
    # Everson Griffen, DE, USC Rising - 6'3- 280
Griffen had a big day at the combine to solidify himself as the best available hybrid defensive end/linebacker.
    # Bryan Bulaga, OT, Iowa Falling - 6'6- 312
    # Brandon Spikes, LB, Florida Falling - 6'3- 255
    # Sergio Kindle, LB, Texas - 6'4- 255
    # Taylor Mays, S, USC Rising - 6'3- 230
His combination of size and speed at the NFL combine was amazing, but for some reason he just did not get the job done last year at USC.
    # Jonathan Dwyer, RB, Georgia Tech Falling - 6-0- 235
    # Kyle Wilson, CB, Boise State Rising - 5'10- 190
    # Terrence Cody, DT, Alabama - 6'5- 360
    # Golden Tate, WR, Notre Dame Rising - 5'11- 195
Building on his impressive season for Notre Dame, Tate ran a 4.36 at the combine to potentially sneak into the first round.
    # Arrelious Benn, WR, Illinois Falling - 6'2 - 220
    # Trevard Lindley, CB, Kentucky Falling - 6'0- 179
    # Brandon Graham, DE, Michigan Rising - 6'2- 263
    # Jared Odrick, DT, Penn State Rising - 6'5- 296
    # Eric Norwood, LB, South Carolina Falling - 6'1- 252
    # Colt McCoy, QB Texas - 6'3- 210
McCoy's last two games of his college career--and an injury--will not help his draft stock.
    # Sean Weatherspoon, LB, Missouri Falling - 6'2- 245
    # Demaryius Thomas, WR, Georgia Tech - 6'3- 229
Thomas has all the physical tools to be an NFL standout, but he was part of a run-first Georgia Tech offense.
    # Arthur Jones, DT, Syracuse - 6-4- 293
    # Greg Hardy, DE, Mississippi Falling - 6'4- 270
    # Mardy Gilyard, WR, Cincinnati Falling - 6-1- 187
Gilyard had a big day at the Senior Bowl, but it still looks like he won't make his way into the first round.
    # Patrick Robinson, CB, Florida State - 5'11- 194
    # Ricky Sapp, LB, Clemson - 6'4- 240
    # Brandon LaFell, WR, LSU Falling - 6'3- 206
    # Dezmon Briscoe, WR, Kansas Falling - 6'3- 200
    # Sean Lee, LB, Penn State - 6'2 - 236
    # Morgan Burnett, S, Georgia Tech Falling - 6-1- 210
One of the few bright spots, along with Morgan, on a Georgia Tech defense that constantly got torched.
    # Jermaine Cunningham, DE, Florida Rising - 6'3- 252
Cunningham was often overshadowed in the Florida defense opposite Dunlap, but he could end up being a steal.
    # Navorro Bowman, LB, Penn State Falling - 6'1- 232
    # Jermaine Gresham, TE, Oklahoma - 6'6- 261
Gresham missed the entire season, but he still decided to leave early and enter the draft.
    # Greg Jones, LB, Michigan State - 6'1- 228
    # Aaron Hernandez, TE, Florida - 6'2- 250
One of several Gators bolting early for the draft, Hernandez projects well as a solid NFL tight end.
    # Perrish Cox, CB, Oklahoma State Rising - 6'0- 198
    # Brian Price, DT, UCLA Rising - 6'2- 300
    # Damian Williams, WR, USC Rising - 6'0- 190
    # Corey Wootton, DE, Northwestern Rising - 6'7- 285
    # Jacoby Ford, WR, Clemson Rising - 5'10- 185
Ford's stock is on the rise after running a combine-best 4.28 in the 40-yard dash.
    # Jahvid Best, RB, California Rising - 5'10- 195
Best was just that among running backs at the NFL combine in the 40, running a 4.35. That will help ease the pain of an injury-plagued season at Cal.
    # Rennie Curran, LB, Georgia - 5'11- 225
    # Charles Brown, OT, USC - 6'5- 290
    # Antonio Coleman, DE, Auburn Falling - 6'2- 260
    # Maurkice Pouncey, OG, Florida Rising - 6'5- 318
    # Devin McCourty, CB, Rutgers Rising - 5-11- 185
    # Ryan Mathews, RB, Fresno State Rising - 5'11- 220
    # Marvin Austin, DT, North Carolina - 6-3- 305
    # Kareem Jackson, CB, Alabama Rising - 5'11- 192
    # Brandon Ghee, CB, Wake Forest Rising - 6-0- 190
    # Rico McCoy, LB, Tennessee - 6'1- 220
    # Selvish Capers, OT, West Virginia Rising - 6-5- 298
    # Kam Chancellor, S, Virginia Falling - 6'4- 230
    # Syd'Quan Thompson, CB, California - 5'9- 193
    # Donovan Warren, CB, Michigan Rising - 6'0- 185
    # Sam Young, OT, Notre Dame - 6'8- 330
Reportedly looked a little to slow at the Senior Bowl. That's not a good sign for an offensive tackle.
    # Toby Gerhart, RB, Stanford Falling - 6'1- 235
    # Adam Ulatoski, OT, Texas - 6'6- 310
    # Nate Allen, S, South Florida - 6-2- 205
    # Jon Asamoah, OG, Illinois Rising - 6'5- 315
    # Dominique Franks, CB, Oklahoma Rising - 6'0- 192
    # Rob Gronkowski, TE, Arizona Rising - 6'5- 260
    # Rodney Hudson, OG, Florida State - 6'2- 285
    # DeMarco Murray, RB, Oklahoma Falling - 6'1- 214
    # Chris Cook, CB, Virginia Rising - 6-2- 210
    # Dexter McCluster, WR, Mississippi Falling - 5'8- 165
McCluster ran a rather disappointing (by his standards) 4.58 in the 40-yard dash, but he was awesome in agility drills so his stock won't be damaged too much.
    # Freddie Barnes, WR, Bowling Green Rising - 6'0- 206
Barnes had an awesome season for Bowling Green and NFL teams will not soon forget his performance in the Humanitarian Bowl.
    # Daryl Washington, LB, TCU Rising - 6'3- 234
Not only was he outstanding for TCU's dominant defense, but Washington also astounded at the Senior Bowl.
    # Charles Scott, RB, LSU Falling - 6'0- 233
    # Jason Worilds, DE, Virginia Tech - 6'1- 254
    # Rodger Saffold, OT, Indiana Rising - 6'5- 318
    # Pat Angerer, LB, Iowa - 6'1- 235
    # Tim Tebow, QB, Florida Falling - 6'3- 245
Tebow has been doing OK in offseason workouts, but it is looking more and more like he will not be a first or second-rounder.
    # Ciron Black, OT, LSU Falling - 6'5- 322
    # Jared Veldheer, OT, Hillsdale Rising
    # Willie Young, LB, Florida State - 6'4- 250
    # Jevan Snead, QB, Mississippi Falling - 6'3- 218
    # Javier Arenas, CB, Alabama Falling - 5'9- 195
Arenas had a big year for undefeated Alabama, but size is a question mark at the next level.
    # Myron Rolle, S, Florida State - 6'2- 218
Rolle's combination of on-the-field and off-the-field talents is as good as it gets.
    Thanks Ted!

    • Atlanta Falcons - 19

      OLB Sean Weatherspoon, Missouri
Previously it was a lock the Falcons would take a CB, but with a few key FA acquisitions, the Falcons positioned themselves with a lot more draft flexibility. Although Weatherspoon played ILB at Mizzou, he's projected as an OLB at the next level with great measurables and a knack for always being around the ball. Word in Atlanta is that his interviews went extremely well with the team and both sides seem to be excited about joining forces. Mike Peterson, the Falcons current OLB is now 34 years old and the team will be looking to the future.

          • It still amazes me how loaded this draft is. If TT get an offer to trade down I think he has to take it to pick up another pick or two unless someone he really likes falls to 23rd.

I think if Anthony Davis and Bulaga are still on the board when TT picks I'll pee my pants, I just don't see them dropping this far.

It could happen, no one saw Rodgers falling to us with the 24th pick.

Maybe, but in the real draft there is a good possibility that Davis and Bulaga will be drafted in the top 10.

                        • The Houston Texans have one major hurdle to overcome before people will take them seriously: beat Peyton Manning. They're a talented team, and it's not their fault that they ended up in a division with quite possibly the best quarterback of all time. Last year, they got very close on two occasions, and this roster is so talented that you have to start wondering whether the problem is coaching. I can't draft a coach here, so that's out.

Dunta Robinson's departure seems to be a crushing blow to the pass defense, as the Houston secondary doesn't have a lot of playmakers anyway. So Boise State's Kyle Wilson, the consensus #2 CB, is strongly considered here. I mean, after all, the man has his own RV:

However, Wilson doesn't seem to be to be capable of greatness, simply "very goodness", and "very goodness" isn't going to put the Texans over the hump.

Instead, the thing that the Texans are really missing is a big back. Steve Slaton had a good rookie season, but an underwhelming sophomore season, in part because he is tiny and frail and if you ask him to carry the load, he will snap like a twig. They tried to get a big back to carry the load a few years back, when they poached Ahman Green from the Packers, and the result of that is a policy to not sign backs over 30 anymore. Furthermore, while the Texans have a dynamic passing attack, capable of scoring a lot of points, the thing to stop P. Manning is to keep him off the field.

So to that end, the Texans select the best all-purpose running back in the draft, Fresno State's Ryan Matthews

Edit: Sorry about the lateness of this, I typed this up this morning, and then forgot to hit the "submit" button.

                            • In the real world, Cincy would be looking to trade with someone looking to move up to draft Bulaga. That is not possible here. Some would say that the Bengals would have no interest in Bulaga since they are set at OT with Andrew Whitworth and Andre Smith. However, some feel that Smith would actually be better at Guard, as was the case with Leonard Davis.

Therefore, the Cincinnati Bengals select the nearly undisputed best player available, and that is Brian Bulaga, OT Iowa.

                              • The New England Patriots need a pass rush. Adalius Thomas has been a big disappointment in the hybrid DE/OLB role. Last year Belichick could have had Clay Matthews, but made the trade with the Packers. Not this time.
