  • Bengals could go WR here, but they did just sign Antonio Bryant, so they are not in need of an immediate starter. Instead they look to bolster the Safety position. Both Chris Crocker and Roy Williams are 30, and Williams was signed to a 1 year contract.

Therefore, with the 22nd pick of the 2nd round, the Cincinnati Bengals select

    Nate Allen S South Florida

    Strengths:
A smooth athlete --- Good height with a chiseled physique --- Excellent range --- Outstanding instincts --- Great hands and ball skills --- Fluid hips --- Nice body control --- Excels in zone coverage --- Technically sound --- Closes fast --- Tough --- Physical --- Reliable tackler --- Great motor --- Smart --- Hard worker --- A lot of experience --- Team leader.

    Weaknesses:
Frame is maxed out --- Pure speed is just average --- Struggles when asked to match up with wideouts in man coverage --- Plays too tall at times --- Isn't a real big hitter --- Not very quick or explosive --- Upside?
    I can't run no more
    With that lawless crowd
While the killers in high places
    Say their prayers out loud
But they've summoned, they've summoned up
    A thundercloud

    • With Westbrook gone, Eagles will be looking for someone to give them the kind of explosiveness catching passes out of the backfield that Westbrook gave them.

Therefore, with the 23rd pick in the 2nd round, the Philadelphia Eagles select

      Dexter McCluster RB Mississippi

      Strengths:
Outstanding natural athlete --- Explosive with great acceleration and a burst --- Excellent quickness and agility --- Super elusive --- Nice vision and instincts --- Strong and extremely tough --- Physical and plays much bigger than his size would suggest --- Good balance and doesn't go down easily --- Soft, reliable hands --- Amazing competitor --- A fantastic work ethic --- Leader --- Considerable special teams potential.

      Weaknesses:
Severely undersized --- Small 8⅜-inch hands --- Has some issues with ball security --- Will struggle between the tackles --- Is not a polished route runner --- Gives it his all but just an average blocker --- 'Tweener without a true position and not an every-down player --- Doesn't have a lot of experience in the return game --- Durability is a major concern.

The Green Bay Packers are on the clock!!!

      • Fire up the second round poll!

        Rat voters on the clock.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

I kind of wanted to see if he'd win the PR poll
TERD Buckley over Troy Vincent, Robert Ferguson over Chris Chambers, Kevn King instead of TJ Watt, and now, RICH GANNON, over JIMMY JIMMY JIMMY LEONARD. Thank you FLOWER

            • Here's some guys that might make sense:

              46) Sapp Ricky LB Clemson
              57) Jones Chad FS LSU
              58) Houston Lamarr DT TX
              59) Gerhart Toby RB Stanford
              60) Misi Koa DE Utah
              61) Cook Chris CB VA
              64) Burnett Morgan FS GA Tec

I'm leaning towards Jones right now but Sapp and Misi are intriguing.
              Fred's Slacks is a Winner!

              • I'd think I would go with Ricky Sapp

Sapp is an undersized, athletic defensive end who has growth potential. He is a competitive player but tends to be more of a finesse defender against the run. He shows good initial quickness off the line of scrimmage as an edge rusher with the ability to close well to the quarterback. Sapp is a solid reacter who has enough agility and quickness to stand up as an outside 'backer in a 3-4 defensive scheme. His size, versatility and athleticism should bode well as a special-teams contributor, as well as providing depth to a defense at the next level

                Strengths

Sapp has been a productive player during his career. Has the versatility to play defensive end in a 4-3 and outside linebacker in a 3-4. Is an extremely athletic front-seven defender who can get to the quarterback with the speed rush and is comfortable playing in space. Durable during his time in college. Plays with good instincts, including in coverage.

                Weaknesses

At this point, Sapp is undersized and only possesses average power to hold the point of attack when teams run at him. Does have the frame to add bulk. Needs to be more consistent with his hand use and must do a better job disengaging from blockers.

                • Toby.

He'd be a great 4th quarter running back for us. We could finish out games hammering the ball with a fresh back bringing different skills.
[QUOTE=George Cumby] ...every draft (Ted) would pick a solid, dependable, smart, athletically limited linebacker...the guy who isn't doing drugs, going to strip bars, knocking around his girlfriend or making any plays of game changing significance.

                  • Toby is the same type of running back as Grant, we need a third down running back who can catch out of the backfield. Plus our need for a pass rusher is greater than RB. We can pick up a good RB later in the draft, can't say that about a pass rusher. Toby will be a bust anyway.

Yes, I would like to do round three, I'll count you in. We will need to hurry up the draft process, so from now on GM's will only have 8 hours to make a pick, so check in often. If you don't make the pick, I will do it. Anyone else that wants to do round three let me know, I'd like each GM to take 3 teams.
                        Thanks Ted!

                          • I'm in. Doesn't really matter who I get in the end but if we're allowed to request I'd like Falcons, Eagles and something from Bears/Broncos/Dolphins.
