  • Movie on 60's Packers & Cowboys being made

When I was a kid, a long, long time ago, Ernest Borgnine played Vince Lombardi in a made-for-TV movie.

ESPN will have a theatrical motion picture made about the rivalry between the Packers & the Cowboys in the 60's climaxing in the Ice Bowl.

    The actor to play Lombardi?

    Robert DeNiro.

I've been hearing about this for a while and the rumor was Travolta,
Lombardi told Starr to "Run it, and let's get the hell out of here!" - 'Ice Bowl' December 31, 1967

Hopefully this movie won't be as bad as the Bob Knight movie.

Now all we need is Joe Pesci to play Hornung and Ray Liotta to play Max McGee....

Not the worst choice, I'm sure he'll do a bang up job, but I'd rather have seen Al Pacino play Lombardi.

                    Give it time.
