    - Quality Returner/Slashback

This team is not far from being complete. Here's hoping a lockout doesn't place itself right in the middle of what looks like it could be a great run.
This is the most heartening post I've read in a while. I happen to agree with the list, but the larger point is that if you look at the list and the positions, it's about filling in, not fixing.

If the Pack doesn't get that young left tackle, then yeah, the team is in awful shape soon. So it's important. And yes, if they can't find someone opposite Mathews, it's going to be hard to create pressure. And no, nobody wants Jarrett Bush or Derrick Martin playing defensive back. Nor do we want another Krapinos/Frost type of punter, shank you very much.

But the team has a lot of strengths, and if Thompson can orchestrate one more really good draft, right now, this year, this team might be positioned to go somewhere big next year. Of course, we've also got to remember those beat-downs at the hands of the Vikings.

But hooray for Thompson signing Pickett and Collins. I think that he sends a good message to that Packer locker room: play hard, do the right things on and off the field, and if you're a good player we'll take care of you.

Now, Teddy, review Vince's list, and keep in mind the order of the list, and go fill it this April.

I was thinking about this yesterday; the Saints lost Fujita and have some vets that might age as well. They also got some nice breaks to get to the SB.

The Vikings have been drafting quite well lately (two offensive rookies of the year with their last two first round draft picks they used...as have Green Bay. If Favre comes back I think the two best teams in the NFC on paper next year might be MN and GB.
TERD Buckley over Troy Vincent, Robert Ferguson over Chris Chambers, Kevn King instead of TJ Watt, and now, RICH GANNON, over JIMMY JIMMY JIMMY LEONARD. Thank you FLOWER

Bretsky, I appreciate you coming to my defense (I've been prepared for this since about 15 mins after the super bowl). But I do want to clear one thing up - I don't "detest" Justin. Not at all. As you know, I met him when we were all in GB, and I thought he was a nice young guy. I don't agree with his opinions quite a bit, sometimes I speak up, mostly I let it go, but I don't dislike him at all. In fact, when I get back there for a game, I'll give him a call (er - send a PM, I don't have his number any more).

To the rest of you - Take all the pot shots you want. I've been vocal about my dislike for Ted, but I've also been vocal about kudos that I thought he deserved, you can find kudos comments from 2+ years ago, with little effort. My biggest complaint in the last year? MEDIA - and I stand by those. He sucks more often than not with the media. But he and McCarthy got us a victory in the Super Bowl, and they will ALWAYS have my respect and my appreciation for that, flaws and all!

              RG,
You might want to edit your post as I bumped this thread from over a yr ago.

I thought it'd be neat to give Patler some kudos for calling this since he's mostly wrong with his future start predictions like Atlas Herrion.........

Patler has done his share of questioning Ted Thompson, so it's not all good there.
"There's a lot of interest in the draft. It's great. But quite frankly, most of the people that are commenting on it don't know anything about what they are talking about."--Ted Thompson

So what.....Why is this a concern for you? What is the relevance?

Ted Thompson's distrust of, and distain for the media could perhaps be his most endearing quality. THANKSTED!
