  • Compensatory Picks announced

We got an extra 5th round pick for losing Colin Cole last year, it's #169.

Only nine teams got higher compensatories, three thirds, one fourth, and 5 higher fifths.

And correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't our pick the dead-last one with no one behind us?

Our compensatory pick is the last one in the fifth round. There are also picks, and compensatories, in the sixth and seventh. New England got three seventh round picks as compensatories(!).

Saving money by not paying Cole and applying it to Collins/Clifton/Tauscher/Williams (take your pick) and picking up a 5th to boot. I'd say we come out ahead here.

Hopefully Ted can find another sleeper at that spot in this deep draft.

Maybe I'm an idiot, but who did Cincinnati lose that put them ahead of Tenn for Haynesworth?

Chicago got nothing - I take it the way that Benson left gets them nothing (because released, not signed away).

                    Houshmandzadeh.

While the size of his contract isn't ahead of Haynesworth's, he was more productive last year. Haynesworth was $11.37m and 12/12, while Houshmandzadeh was $8m and 16/16.

TERD Buckley over Troy Vincent, Robert Ferguson over Chris Chambers, Kevn King instead of TJ Watt, and now, RICH GANNON, over JIMMY JIMMY JIMMY LEONARD. Thank you FLOWER

                        I'm gonna guess Corey Rodgers

                        EDIT: Looked, I was wrong.

There's this part of me that thinks Aaron Kampman, but that's not right and it's stuck in my head so I'll never get it now.

I believe we've only had one 5th round compensatory in the history of the franchise prior to this year, and it was spent on an offensive lineman who is now on another team.
