  • Big Board #2

I have averaged a few draft boards including Drafttek, CBS, and Great Blue North, and others to come up with a big board that would have fewer mistakes on it. It may show you where your favorite draft board may not be considering what most boards are speculating.

No one can guarantee which players will be available when the Packer make a selection, but it might help you see possibilities. The Packers have selections 23, 56, 86, 122, 156, 169, 193, 230.

I wish I were enough of a geek to find out, but when has a draft produced only one running back picked in the first 27 picks?

And that RB brings a lot of question marks to the next level.
[QUOTE=George Cumby] ...every draft (Ted) would pick a solid, dependable, smart, athletically limited linebacker...the guy who isn't doing drugs, going to strip bars, knocking around his girlfriend or making any plays of game changing significance.

I think it's just because there are a lot of good offensive and defensive lineman and DB's in this draft, causing the RB's to slip.
      Thanks Ted!

That is not a mock draft order. Its a list of best players, top to bottom.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

Brandon Spikes is way too high on that board. Sure, he's been productive in college and his tape is okay, but there's no way a ILB who ran a 5.0+ 40 yard dash is going to go in the first three rounds.

The top dozen look right, and I can't believe the number of mock drafts putting Bradford in the #1 slot. No way it should be anyone but Suh or Okung. Two very good big men.

I don't get the love affair with McCoy, btw.

I've been watching youtube clips of Kindle, TT has to consider him opposite Matthews would be killer:

Jerry Hughes looks good too, solid against the run too:
              Thanks Ted!

If you are looking at guys would could make this defense more dominant, I'd be considering Kindle, Hughes, or Travis Mays

Saffold in round two would be really nice. Solid and stable and IMO will be just as good as some of the top 6 many drool about
TERD Buckley over Troy Vincent, Robert Ferguson over Chris Chambers, Kevn King instead of TJ Watt, and now, RICH GANNON, over JIMMY JIMMY JIMMY LEONARD. Thank you FLOWER

I thought it was an averaging of mock drafts.

Every draft sees a run on one position and trades that screw up every single mock draft. I prefer looking at a big board to see who the BPA may be.

Why might a QB go early in the draft?
QB are worth top of the draft money and a DT is not worth the dollars to a team that has many holes.

Teams do unexpected things. Last year Cleveland kept trading down and Oakland made a questionable 1st round pick. The Packers were fortunate to see Raji still on the board. Nobody knows how the draft will play out until it begins.

Ted says the same thing every year. He doesn't know who he will draft until he is on the clock.

In 2005 who would have predicted Rodgers would have been available to the Packers? Ted could not pass up that value.

As to the big board, I think teams will be picking CB's much sooner than listed because of the demand for them. Teams that are more desperate are more likely to reach for a player (Ahmad Carroll, Javon Walker etc).

If there is a run on OT's and CB's who at another position might be the best value on the board?

The big board can provoke a lot of thinking such as trade down or up possibilities?

Productive player with great instincts. 40 time is surprising but reminds of Lofa Tatupu -- nose for the ball and anticipates well.

Classic 4-3 mike. Deserves to be a first day pick.
