This would be a near-perfect draft, in my opinion.

    Who Knows? The Shadow knows!

But it's highly doubtful it would fall that way. Veldheer or whatever his name is will be gone by the end of the second, I think.

I"d have to agree; the only thing missing is a return specialist but I'd take that draft in a second
TERD Buckley over Troy Vincent, Robert Ferguson over Chris Chambers, Kevn King instead of TJ Watt, and now, RICH GANNON, over JIMMY JIMMY JIMMY LEONARD. Thank you FLOWER

Holliday (pick 5A) is one of the fastest and best returners in the draft this year.

ok, then this is the dream draft

I may be at the point where my preference is to see a STUD pass rusher get here

            Jerry Hughes
            Sergio Kindle
            Brandon Graham

To me, these three fit the bill.

I think we can land Hughes trading down 6-10 spots; doing that really allowed Shadow's draft to fall into place.

How does Hughes compare to Graham?

I wonder if Graham's nimble enough to cover guys and if he can rush the passer standing up.

I have really started to jump on the Hughes bandwagon. I have been reading a lot about him and doing some looking at highlights, and I think he could be very very good. I like him and kindle as that freak OLB to go opposite Matthews.

Listened to a Hughes interview as well. The guy loves the game of football and wants to be great. Highly highly motivated. I've also heard, like Shadow, than San Diego is very high on Matthews. If TT could trade down and pick up an extra 2nd from San Diego.....that would be great...even if we have to throw back a 5th/6th for even value......winner

Fritz......most rate Graham as more of a sure thing than Hughes. He's projected in the top 20 in most mocks where Hughes rolls between 25-35 range. I need to research more on Graham......but I really like Hughes a lot.

Graham is from Michigan though; I hate the Wolverines

I should probably leave the Hughes train now; you guys know what happens when I really like a player.....he doesn't end up in Green n Gold...remember Crabtree ? Meachem ?

Another guy I've been jumping towards looking at in round 3-5 is Koa Misi from Utah.

If Hughes really will be that good you'd better start hating on him Bretsky.

                        Me too, for that matter.

I've also read Brown is said to be well versed and steady. I've just been on the Roger Staffold wagon for round two.

But maybe getting him in round two where we are is a pipe dream.

With our OL coaches........would it be better to get

                          1. A high upside guy who needs developing
                          or
                          2. A more NFL ready guy with a more limited upside.

To me, this dilemna is the opposite when considering a guy like Anthony Davis or Taylor Mays

I have a lot more faith that our DC/ defensive backfield coaches can mold Mays than our OC/OL coaches developing a lineman

I'm getting draft fever again and this was the year I was going to try to take a step back from that

My dream scenario would be for Ted to drop down, pick up a third and get Charles Brown. Then we'd see Hughers fall into the second round and then have Ted use the 3rd he picked up and his late 2nd to move up and get Hughes too.

Brown is the guy that I think will pan out at LT with time. He needs to get stronger, but he has all the gifts that a LT needs.
