I don't think Brandon wanted Perish Cox with the Browns pick. He selected Gilyard, then said he'd want the Cox pick for the Packers.
I would vote for Perish Cox, hands down right now. He's a character risk, like Davis, but is a super high upside player with every skill you could ask for and it's the 3rd round, not the 1st.Formerly known as JustinHarrell.

Edit... sorry saw your last response as I was done typing this.
This is a tough choice between
J.D. Walton (C, Baylor)
Arthur Jones (DT/DE, Syracuse)
Perrish Cox (CB, OK State)
Walton is smart and very coachable. May be a Matt Birk type guy but doesn't play a position of need for us.
Arthur Jones could be the additional DE that we're looking for at 6'3" and 300 pounds though is the lesser ranked of the three.
Perrish Cox is ultimately the best athlete and most talented of the three but has troubling character issues.
After consulting with my daughters I've decided to go with J.D. Walton because a Bear is better than a Cowboy or Orangeman. I'd be okay with any of the three players as our choice here.

Lack of elite speed will have him available in the later rounds. Don't need to take him before the 4th at the earliest. Very polished player though who could contribute early. Poor man's Greg Jennings.Originally posted by falcoI know we are deep at WR already, but if we are going BPA it has to be Jeremy Williams out of Tulane. That cat has mad crazy skills yo. He's going to be a #1 within 2-3 years.I can't run no more with that lawless crowd

I don't see him as the BPA or Ben Tate.Originally posted by falcoI know we are deep at WR already, but if we are going BPA it has to be Jeremy Williams out of Tulane. That cat has mad crazy skills yo. He's going to be a #1 within 2-3 years.
Perrish Cox or Reshad Jones are the BPA IMO and would make the most sense to draft.

I've seen him as high as the 3rd on some mocks.
I don't think TT takes him this high because I don't think he can contribute much in the return game.Busting drunk drivers in Antarctica since 2006

My choice is Perrish Cox btw
Overview
Cox had another productive season in 2009 as the most active secondary defender for the Cowboys as well as an effective return specialist. He has an excellent combination of size, strength and athleticism. He has good ball skills and does a nice job of making plays in the open field. He can be physical to reroute receivers off the line of scrimmage. Cox is quick and has a knack for finding creases as a returner. He is inconsistent to shed blockers as a run defender but is a willing tackler on the perimeter. His instincts are average when reacting to the pass and needs to improve his awareness when reading route progressions. Cox needs technique work as a secondary defender and likely will have his biggest impact on special teams in his rookie season.
Strengths
Cox has ideal height and bulk. Explosive with very good top-end speed and lateral agility. Possesses great ups and soft hands which makes him a ball-hawk in the secondary. Effective in press coverage and strong enough to support the run. Talented return man who scores touchdowns.
Weaknesses
A bit stiff in the hips, especially when getting out of his backpedal. Does not consistently make good reads and reacts late. Gives too much of a cushion and looks lackadaisical at times. Gets turned around too often and sometimes struggles to find the ball. Misses some tackles by dipping his head.

I can see Cox being BPA but several sites don't even have Jones in the top 100 players in the draft nor do they think he'll ever be better than a marginal safety. Sounds like people we have/had (Bigby/Rouse).Originally posted by Brandon494I don't see him as the BPA or Ben Tate.Originally posted by falcoI know we are deep at WR already, but if we are going BPA it has to be Jeremy Williams out of Tulane.
