  • NFL Schedule To Be Released Tuesday Evening

Seems like it gets later every year. Oh well. Is there going to be a Packerrats Poster game this year?
    I can't run no more
    With that lawless crowd
While the killers in high places
    Say their prayers out loud
But they've summoned, they've summoned up
    A thundercloud
They're going to hear from me - Leonard Cohen

Someone with serious Google-Fu could probably pull some schedule tidbits off unlinked team webpages.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

The P-G has the full NFL press release for this:

Is anyone else nauseated by the over-hyping machine known as the NFL? They take a normal part of the off season and turn it into a hyped event that I just want to be over. At least this and the damn draft will be done in a week and a half.

This event is the equivalent of crowning the SB Champs. As everybody knows, once the schedule is released, we can all predict the exact outcomes for every game played, thus, we will know who makes the playoffs, wins the wildcard/divisional/conference championship games and who will ultimately raise the Lombardi.

Announcing the schedule literally saves us 19 weekends of anguish. I don't even know why the players bother to suit up.

Apparently it's a legal thingy in the CBO that they must.
[QUOTE=George Cumby] ...every draft (Ted) would pick a solid, dependable, smart, athletically limited linebacker...the guy who isn't doing drugs, going to strip bars, knocking around his girlfriend or making any plays of game changing significance.

i wonder if we can start calling it "sports entertainment" like the WWF/E

its no longer just about the football, it has just as much to do with all the drama surrounding the game

i wonder how long it will be before the NFL figures out it might be able to make more money by scripting storylines. or maybe they already have

Yes, Lions get Minny the last week of the season and everyone has Division games according to Goodell.

Washington's schedule hit the web, they host the Packers on Oct. 10

Packers get 4 prime-time games, including home vs. Vikings
The Packers will get plenty of national exposure this season.

According to an NFL source, they will play three times on NBC's Sunday Night Football, the first of which will be Oct. 24 against the Minnesota Vikings at Lambeau Field. The other two Sunday night games weren't known.

That means the Packers will have four prime-time games, including the early-season ESPN Monday Night Football game at Chicago.

That's in addition to what could be several Sunday afternoon games shown to most of the country such as the season opener at Philly, which is a 3:15 p.m. game.

Green Bay Press Gazette has the Packers on ESPN Monday Night early in the season at the Bears. Has anyone seen the date?
