Was he hunting tame buffalo with a chainsaw or something?Originally posted by MJZiggyNot sad it's not there anymore. I have this strong feeling of vertigo, as if this thread is one questionable post away from being teleported through a garbage can-like portal into another dimension[QUOTE=George Cumby] ...every draft (Ted) would pick a solid, dependable, smart, athletically limited linebacker...the guy who isn't doing drugs, going to strip bars, knocking around his girlfriend or making any plays of game changing significance.

Just posing in camo and face paint with the bloody dead carcass. (yes, I'm well aware that "carcass" and "dead" are redundant, I don't care).Originally posted by swedeWas he hunting tame buffalo with a chainsaw or something?Originally posted by MJZiggyNot sad it's not there anymore. Your artful redundancy would never be mistaken for slothful convention.Originally posted by MJZiggy(yes, I'm well aware that "carcass" and "dead" are redundant, I don't care).[QUOTE=George Cumby] ...every draft (Ted) would pick a solid, dependable, smart, athletically limited linebacker...the guy who isn't doing drugs, going to strip bars, knocking around his girlfriend or making any plays of game changing significance.

Regardless of the link, I can't figure out why TT didn't go "all in" when Allen was available. Having that guy on our DL would be sweet.
(My memory is fuzzy sometimes, maybe TT did go all in. If that's the case, "nevermind.")One time Lombardi was disgusted with the team in practice and told them they were going to have to start with the basics. He held up a ball and said: "This is a football." McGee immediately called out, "Stop, coach, you're going too fast," and that gave everyone a laugh.
