How in the hell did he get hurt?

All his hits put together wouldn't make a highlight tape. I never remember the guy nailing anyone.
Related, more than likely, to all the stingers he would suffer from.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

Unfair! He's 1-1 in trade ups. Let Burnett be the tiebreaker before we construct the guillotine.

While Thompson was a strikeout, I think Matthews may well have been a base-clearing double if not a home run.

Neck injury causes Packers' Jeremy Thompson to retire
Posted by Michael David Smith on April 26, 2010 5:55 PM ET
As a result of a neck injury suffered at practice in December, Green Bay Packers linebacker Jeremy Thompson will retire.

"I have consulted with a number of physicians, and due to my medical condition my intention is to retire from football," Thompson said in a statement released by the Packers. "I am thankful to the Packers organization and to the fans for their support during my time in Green Bay. The Packers are a first-class organization and I want to thank them for the opportunity to play in the NFL. There truly is no team I would have rather played for."

Thompson told Greg A. Bedard of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, "Ideally, I would love to keep playing but the risk is just too high and I would like be able to hold my wife and play with my kids after football. . . . [The injury] left permanent damage to my neck and spine."

Thompson was hospitalized after suffering the injury while attempting to make a tackle at practice on December 4. The team said he was expected to make a full recovery, but Thompson said he was scared that he had broken his neck.

His instincts (or lack thereof) do hurt him though. He kept crashing down the LOS (to his left) on runs when he should have been containing and he would get caught up in the garabge and be unable to stop the RB from cutting back to the other side of the formation (Pop's right) and getting free.
Hopefully, another year and that will stop. I didn't see it as much when he was relieving Jones on the Left side, but he played much less and I did not see it happen in replays.
Thanks for reminding me of the nightmares!!!
But Rodgers leads the league in frumpy expressions and negative body language on the sideline, which makes him, like Josh Allen, a unique double threat.

              Thanks, boys.

I had no recall of that incident.

The only play I remember Thompson making was on ST. Ee had another of our ST breakdowns and a guy was streaking up the sideline. Thompson ran the PR down from behind. I finally saw what they wanted to get from the guy. he was a big guy who was really fast.

But, he just didn't have the heart for the NFL.

It's too bad. At one point I thought both Thompson boys would be players for us.

Well, possibly he didn't have the heart or the spinal canal for the NFL. Still, I wish him all the best.

Maybe he should be in charge of Brewers personnel!
