  • Favre needs ankle surgery to play in 2010....

He just keeps throwing Green Bay under the bus. He says it would be an easy decision if he did not have such a sense of belonging last year, he likes to draw pictures on Childress' head with a dry erase marker while he blows him, never had a bald coach in GB. What a douche.
Chris: Dad, what's the blow-hole for?
Peter: I'll tell you what it's not for, son. And when I do, you'll understand why I can never go back to Sea World.

But seriously, I think this surgery has a good chance for success and someone who is quick to heal, a willingness to undergo a stringent rehab, a high pain tolerance and has a burning desire to play again will be ready for training camp by August 22nd.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

I am not saying the immortal one isnt iron tough but he is getting to the age when surgery recovery isnt a given. He isnt a mobile QB anymore...he is hardly even slippery anymore...this could make him a tree back there and with McKinnie guarding his back he might get really hurt this year.

      ***Edit***

he didnt through GB under the bus he said he had the same thing here as in purple...I can imagine JA and Favre talk all the time...that would be a great locker room!
Swede: My expertise in this area is extensive. The essential difference between a "battleship" and an "aircraft carrier" is that an aircraft carrier requires five direct hits to sink, but it takes only four direct hits to sink a battleship.

I hope you are wrong, but I doubt it. Oh and sorry about the thread, I know we are so jammed up with other breaking news in this intense offseason activity. (not directed at Max just the stupid rule)

I didn't read it that way.
But Rodgers leads the league in frumpy expressions and negative body language on the sideline, which makes him, like Josh Allen, a unique double threat.

he said “ This decision would be easy if not for my teammates and the fans and the entire Vikings staff. One year truly felt like 10 -- much like Green Bay for many years. That's what I was missing in my heart I suppose, a sense of belonging.” I took the many years to mean that it was like that for a time in GB, and he did not feel that he fit in later in his GB career. IMO he chose not to fit in because of his problem with management.

I think it's an excellent rule and has done wonders in keeping this place civilized.

There are at least 5 non-packer threads on the board at any given time. Does this get jumped only because it has the F word in the title?

                  Pretty much

Naw, I'm usually the one who cries "FAVRE THREAD OFFENDER!!" but saw the thread title and didn't think twice about it; just clicked.

So by my standards, I guess it's ok

The rule is exclusive to the F-word. Other non Packer threads are fine as long as they're about football.

Whether or not this thread gets parked elsewhere is up to ownership. I just post here.

The rule in principle was fine, but one thread can become ridiculous in size. Once a thread hits ~500-1000 posts it should be locked and a new one started. It's not just the BF thread. The draft thread would have been more manageable if it were split by days. The non-Packer games thread would make more sense if done one per week.

I just think people were getting tired of MOBB posting brand new threads of a youtube video with Favre shooting a Wrangler commercial or something and him saying something "funny".

That stuff is annoying as hell.

This is Favre's "skip training camp, show up in September excuse", nothing more.

Also gets people talking about him again. Something that's barely happened since January.

It is an already accepted idea in purple country that he isnt coming to training camp per PA on KFAN. I think this is a real injury and he could have trouble with this one. My question is does he want to retire as the only guy never to miss a start or maybe go out on a bad note this year?
