Then there was Trent Dilfer (and who is this guy to critque quarterbacks? So, he 'won' a Super Bowl, but there were about 35 other quarterbacks in the league that year that could have won the SB with that Ravens defense. He made one throw in the playoffs - a five yard slant to Sterling Sharpe up in Oakland that Sharpe turned in to a 90 plus yard touch down.

But to be honest, this preferential treatmens is not something that was unique to the Vikings. Even when he was with the Packers and they were often horrible, all the announcers wanted to ever talk about was Favre. Especially John Madden. The Packers could be losing by 50 and he'd still blather on about Favre.
Trent Dilfer threw a TD pass to Sterling Sharpe?
The Packers were "often horrible" with Favre? With just one losing season?

Yeah, I found a few other mistakes too. This person might be a hater, but is also stupid.

It would be so nice to get the puple slime out of Packer territory and move them to San Antonio, Las Vegas, or Mexico City.

They have no trophies or memorabilia to move. No traditions to worry about. It would be very easy for them to start up somewhere else.

The Lions and viklings are the only NFC teams that have never won a George Halas Trophy. I bet the Lions get one before the purple slime.

NO TEAM IS HATED AS MUCH AS THE VIKLINGS.

For WI residents detesting ILL teams is natural

The Cowboyz are just as hated as the Vikings most years IMO

I think it kind of depends on what part of the state you are from. If you were in northern WI 40 years ago, 200+ miles away from IL, you had little exposure to things from IL, and if you were in the NW quarter of the state, chances are your TV broadcasts came out of MN. It became darn easy to hate the Vikings when that was what you were forced to watch every week. For a long time, the only Packer games I got to see on TV were the two when they played the Vikings, Thanksgiving against Detroit when that was a regular, and Monday night when that started.

Hating the Vikings was very natural for Packer fans in my area, especially when you were force fed the "Purple People Eaters".

Agreed Patler. I grew up right on the WI-MN border and our town was pretty much split with Packer and Viking fans. The Vikings were easliy the mosted hated rival for Packer fans in my area. There were probably 10-20 Packer - Viking fans for every Bear fan in that area. The Bears were a rival but that game wasn't nearly as anticipated as the Packer-Viking game.

Since when do we need a reason to Hate the Vikings? Or the Bears for that matter?
