Respectfully - I didn't read the tone that way. Numb, is that what you meant?Originally posted by falcoI actually don't think its an unreasonable statement. I'm rolling my eyes at the "tone" of the post. I don't doubt that when DD hits the wall, TT will make a decision to let him go (and probably allow him an opportunity to retire, like Henderson had, and Favre to a degree). That's just the nature of the beast.Originally posted by retailguyFalco, I understand the point you're trying to make, but why is that such an unreasonable statement?
I took it from Numb's statement that TT has a habit of throwing away old players like garbage; I just don't think thats the case at all.

Well, as I said, "I" didn't read it that way, so I asked Numb.

With guys like Woodson, Harris, Driver, Rodgers, even Grant...
The packers are just a class orgnization. We expect a lot from our players on and off the field, and it even impacts the young guys. You can't tell me that players like Driver and Harris have not had a direct influence on Finely deciding he finally wants to make significant changes in his life to be a better person.
It makes stories like Jolly's (guilty or not, it's a repeat offense no?) disheartening because we have really class act leadership in that locker room and on the field. What picket recently said about just seeing Harris running at practice really tells you the impact class players have on everyone on the team. I wish Jolly would take note.
Still, I hope driver can do what he wants to do - and that is play well until he is 40. Thats stilla handful of more seasons, so I just hope he doesn't hit that wall. right now, he appears far from it based on last season, so we'll see how it goes.
Much love and respect driver. Wish everyone on the team was made up of people like him.
