Harris' Contract

I think I heard this somewhere, so if I'm wrong, I'm wrong. But can someone confirm or deny this statement: Al Harris' contract is structured such that he makes less as he gets older; it's structured this way to allow that he'll finish his career as the nickel and not as the starter. Any validity?

No longer the member of any fan clubs. I'm tired of jinxing players out of the league and into obscurity.
