Favre NOT coming back?

The Vikings are preparing to get on their knees and slurp away.

Vikings I'm now hearing are prepared to do whatever they need, including giving more $$ and more time, to get Favre to reconsider

I'm not sure it's possible to be any more pathetic of an organization. Little wonder the megalomaniac chose them to make a mockery of.

Bobble and Hoosier are right. I say Favre comes back in week 4 after the Vikings start 1-3. He still wants to be sweet-talked.

The consecutive starts steak is over, though.

BF made the decision and he didn't tell Chilly or Viking brass already? This can't be true. Can't imagine BF being insensitive and so self adsorbed that he wouldn't closely work with management, communicating the situation clearly so that his team can prepare adequately for the season.

I still think there is a 90% chance that he plays this season. As others have said, he said the same thing last year.

I don't think the streak matters anymore. If he could pull the Roger Clemens trick and play half a year, and take half the beating, on a potential Superbowl team, I think he'd do it.

I don't know, IMS, I've always learned the 'streak' was about the most important stat Brett has ~ and I don't think Peyton or Brady are close behind him....? ? On the other hand, Brett's pushing 41, maybe it doesn't mean as much as it did..

I was predicting a comeback after preseason game #3. I don't think Favre would allow his consecutive game streak to lapse if he were still planning on coming back.

Don't call it a comeback, he's been here for years!
