No - not legitamately - but as a preseason pulicity ploy - I could see it happening.

When it comes to that level of speed/size/strength/toughness - women are inferior.

Does that make me a sexist or can we look at all the rosters in the history of the NFL and draw the obvious conclusions?

I suppose what I was really wondering with this thread is why a woman has not played in the NFL. Is it because of cultural and/or societal norms, or because of the physical make-up required to play?

I have to believe somewhere out there, there are women who physically could compete. And not just in the kicker role.

For example, on ESPN radio the other day they suggested Redskins make the following acquisition in the event Fat Albert couldn't play:

My wife went to law school with a woman who played offensive line for the Indiana Speed. She was freaking huge. At least 6" 3" maybe taller and about 270.

I wouldn't have messed with her.

Only as a kicker but I don't see it ever happening.
