  • Zombo

Despite a sprained ankle, this guy's been coming on lately. Played well Saturday night, and had a good practice today. With Obi out with an injury, he's getting a lot of work. If he plays well against Seattle, he may be the favorite to grab the last OLB spot.

Zombo's definitely a guy to watch the next few weeks. Seems like a good practice squad candidate to me, but a lack of depth gives him a shot to earn a spot.

I won't say that I'd be all for a trade or acquisition of an OLB, since if I did that would guarantee it wouldn't happen.

Good to see that Zombo is making a strong push for a roster spot like Joe called. He's making plays and should get a lot of time in this week's game, perhaps with the 1's since Chillar is back working at ILB. It would be huge to see him get to Manning/Painter once or twice this week.

He played DE in college which is why I think he'll be on the practice squad .

Zombo should get significant playing time tonight with the ones. He and Shields are ones to watch.

I wonder how Havner compares as a linebacker to Zombo. But is Havner an inside or outside linebacker?

I thought he was playing mostly inside and whether he was Will or Sam depended on where the TE was. He seemed to be in mostly in TE coverage (Sam) more while Obi would put his hand on the ground and pass rush on most plays. He was the SAM covering one TE in the flat and Zombo rushed when he picked off Whitehurst.
