  • Predict the score: Packers at Eagles

Packers haven't won in Philly in 50 years...

    Packers 27 Eagles 33

In a pretty even matchup, my money is on the team with the smarter coach!

I don't really see the matchup as that even. I like Kolb but hes a first year starter. He'll have a season similiar to Rodgers, he'll put him up numbers but he doesn't know how to win games yet. I see the Eagles going 7-9 or 8-8 this season.

With that being said everyone is worried how we are going to cover the Eagles recievers yet the Eagles need to worry how they are going to cover our guys. We have the better QB, WR, TE, and a O-line that finally looks solid. You guys need to get that Cardinals game and preseason out of your head, we had the #2 defense in the league last year. Not to mention a lot of our starters didnt even play this preseason and Capers ran a vanilla defense.

I'll take the MVP caliber QB and DPOY over a 1st year starting QB and trashing talking rookie any day of the week.

I agree that the Packers are more talented on paper. Maybe by more than a little bit. But I am having a hard time getting a feel for their how their pass defense is going to hold up, both in light of the weaknesses that were exposed in the second half of 2009 and given the injuries and depth problems they are facing right now. I don't expect them to reproduce last year's defensive stats, but the offense should be more consistent so a slight dropoff overall on the defensive side might not be a problem.

I would not be shocked to see Kolb have a big day against them Sunday and lead the Eagles to victory. I also expect taht, by the end of the season, the Packers will clearly be the better of the two teams. It just might take them a while to get there.

Close the whole game and we pull away at the end. The eagles are a good team and they are at home, but I don't believe they can stop us. If the offense doesn't stumble out the gate and we don't turn it over, I think we win this one.

We already have a game day thread. I'm really loathe to always having to switch threads to read and discuss the exact same topics. Is it too much to ask that we discipline oiurselves?

Just got a feeling. Philly is a tough place to play, the Eagles are underrated, and we might be full of ourselves right now.

Packers defense just hasn't played together due to injuries. There will be too many rough spots to iron out against a very good team.

I like brandon's thinking and attitude. We're on the same page.

I'll say 38-31 with the Iggles scoring 10 late after it really doesn't matter. Offensive explosion, we give up some yards -- but it just doesn't matter.

                    Pack just too much. GPG!!

It's the first week of the season. I think you guys are inflating the scores.

                              Let's try Packers 23 Eagles 17
