    4 chances inside the 1 after a fumble/turnover... bears - nada

How do you not kick the FG for the lead? Odd.

The Bears recovered a fumble at the Detroit 1, and didn't score?

Down by 1 point, with an extra-point type field goal try, and you go for the TD on 4th??? If they lose this game, Lovie Smith deserves to be fired.

Bears have almost 400 yards of offense BUT 4 turnovers (albeit Lions have 3).

          Ugly game.

Bears D held and they have solid field position - maybe that's his rationale (i.e., they should at least get a FG if they stop the anemic Lion offense).

But short of the 1st down and Bears only get to the 40 - punt time.

            Ouch. :P

              Agreed.

The Lions can't move the ball and he doesn't take the lead?

If Lions can get a few 1st downs and burn 4 minutes (that's saying a lot when they've only got 10 in 55 minutes), the Bears will lose their home opener (and for 3 hours, the Lions will be in 1st place).

                  Wow! Interesting stat!

Detroit has punted 5 times from inside their own 5 yard line today, and the Bears have only 13 point!

And with Stafford possibly out the Pack and the Vikes benefit.

Yup - Lions have plenty of weapons but if theres no one to feed them.... sucks to be a Lions fan.

? why do announcers always say midseason form? How about playoff form? Or even late season form?

If he ever really had "it," Cutler lost it somewhere.

I hear ya but when I watched the Vikings on Thursday they certainly looked preseason on offense.

Yes, that was an excellent, excellent trade they made with Denver (for us).
