  • Wow the WRs in MN suck

Greg Lewis, Baskett, Cigarillo and Berrian

I mean usually it is a good thing when the dropoff from 1-4 is low...but when the #1 is Berrian....OUCH

Looks like Percy is out for next week

    Lions win in a walk...

Yeah, injuries sure are killing them there this year. Their luck there, it seems, has turned for the worse.

Harvin being out may actually help them. Now they have to incorporate Camarillo into the offense and there is no reason to avoid running whenever possible. Get the ball out of Favre's self-destructing hands. Can the Lions defense stop the run when they know it's coming? If so then they win.

season is still young...this could be good for them in a way. When they get Harvin & Rice back, they will be huge potentially for them late in the year.

Hip injury for a WR...doesnt sound like a good thing.

Just heard a report on KFAN that Harvin has migraines again. They thought they had found something that would fix them, but they've come back. I feel bad for the guy.

Not having to worry about Harvin could mean the Lions will be able to have an extra defender close to the line to stop Peterson. Vikings are favored by 11. I would imagine a lot of wagerers going with the Lions on this one.

Harvin can't be relied on due to the migraines and add in that he now has hip issues and he's missed and continues to miss significant practice time which has thrown him out of timing with Bert.

Rice coming back at where he was last year to help a late season run is a fool's hope. WR's and hip injuries are not a good combo.

Now the Vikes couldn't get a deal done for Vincent Jackson to get him for week 5, now they have to wait until week 7 for him to play at the earliest and he'll be rusty and out of synch.

Just wait, Taco Wallace will rear his head in MN.

The addition of Hank Baskett could prove a dangerous weapon towards rekindling the fanhood of Minnesota's Kendra fans.

I wish we could have signed him so I could see Kendra in green and gold.

well, back in 2005-06 when Javon Walker, Terrence Murphy, and just about everyone else was dropping like flies, Favre had a statistically tough year--

61.3 comp pct (the bright spot), to go with 20 TDs, 29 INT's, and a QB rating of 70.9.

People weren't sure if he would come back after that season. I can't say Favre will call it quits after this year for sure, but I'm willing to bet his season stats aren't going to be nearly as good as last year.

His career QB rating is 86.4, last year it was 107.2; I expect him to fall back to the statistical norm this year. That will still be good enough (along with AD and their defense) to keep them in the running for a playoff spot.

It remains to be seen if he can get it together at 41 years old and make MIN the much-hyped Super Bowl contender.

                            Sorry...drifted off topic.

Camarillo is a good possession type WR. I could see him being a clutch safety valve for Favre, but really I don't think you'd want him to be anything more than a #4 or #3 (at best) WR. Without Harvin and Rice, the rest of the group isn't that scary. Berrian can't get separation, Harvin can't stay healthy (migraines and now a sore hip), and Greg Lewis is JAG.

I like Hank Baskett as a #5WR and especially for his wife.
