  • Official Packers vs Lions Game Day thread

I know people say start the game day thread on game day (don’t know if it is because of luck or something), but I believe we are about to go on a long winning streak and I wanted to be the one to start it this time.

    Packers rebound!
    Draft Brandin Cooks WR OSU!

Nothing wrong with starting it the day before. You forgot the "Official" in the thread title though.

Packers nickel back Sam Shields (calf), ruled out for Week 4, is expected to return Week 5 against the Redskins.

Packers LB Brandon Chillar has been ruled out for Week 4 against Detroit.

Chillar typically serves as Green Bay's nickel linebacker, but AJ Hawk, the starting LILB in base packages, will get a chance to prove he's a three-down linebacker after losing nickel duties earlier in the season. Desmond Bishop could replace Hawk on third downs if the former Buckeye is not effective.

Ahhhh game day! A chill in the air, the anticipation...I only wish my sweetie were here today. I hope he didn't tell me he was going to try to go to the Ravens game today. That would be a very bad idea.

If Desmond Bishop replaces Hawk on passing downs (and plays coverage) for any reason other than death or dismemberment, I will eat my hat, then go to Green Bay and try out for ILB.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

                        very simple....

If we play like we did on MNF, we lose. If we don't (especially with Stafford out and Best on a gimpy foot), we win.

The one concern is the front 3 for Detroit. Corey Williams, Vanden Bosch and Suh are getting pressure on the passer. If we can pass protect OK, their secondary can be exploited deep.

Here's my question re: our D-Line... when the heck will Neal be back. The depth at D-Line is paper thin with him being out.

Now I remember what we are doing wrong:

                          For good luck, 2010 version:

Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

I don't think it's a cake walk. The Kitties have been in every game so far this year. They'll hang around, but we should win by 10ish..
