  • Lots of NFL transaction activity

Seems to be a lot of transaction activity this week with higher profile players, or players connected to the Packers:

I mentioned Jamon Meredith being released in another thread.
NewsBruin pointed out that Evan Dietrich-Smith was released by Seattle.

Cyril Obiozor was signed by San Diego.

Mark Anderson was released by the Bears. He had a huge rookie season with 12 sacks in 2006, but faded away since then.

Charles Grant was signed by the Bears.

The Jets had re-signed David Clowney after releasing him at the start of the season, but released him again this week and now Carolina has signed him.

Melvin Bullitt who starts whenever Bob Sanders is out for the Colts, was placed on IR. Of course, Sanders is out now too.

Todd Bouman was cut by the Jaguars. Started his career in 1997 with the Vikings and in the 14 years since has amassed 230 career attempts, 129 completions, 1683 yards, 11 TDs and 11 INTs. Could this stellar career be at an end?

Dwayne Jarrett, the Panthers 2nd round pick in 2007, got his second DUI and was released today.

    SF released Michael Lewis.

Everybody looks at that college highlight vid and wants to know if they are the team that can make him look like that again in the NFL. The answer will apparently be NO.
[QUOTE=George Cumby] ...every draft (Ted) would pick a solid, dependable, smart, athletically limited linebacker...the guy who isn't doing drugs, going to strip bars, knocking around his girlfriend or making any plays of game changing significance.

        That's a good one!
But Rodgers leads the league in frumpy expressions and negative body language on the sideline, which makes him, like Josh Allen, a unique double threat.
