  • Because there hasn't been enough turmoil on the Vikings lately, I think now would be a good time for some Favre/Sterger news. It's way too quiet in this thread.

As bad as Favre has conducted himself the last couple of years, I don't think you can blame him for what has happened to the Vikings coaching staff. If Chilly was a man to be respected, he would not have created one set of rules for Favre, and another for everyone else. Chilly wasn't forced to do that. He did it because he was as much a bum as you think Favre is. The collapse of the Vikings would have happened with or without Favre. It just wouldn't have been as entertaining without him.

What came first. The enable(ee) or the enable(er)?

Report: Favre is expected to be re-interviewed this week

Posted by Mike Florio on November 30, 2010, 8:54 AM EST
Here’s one that has slipped through the cracks over the weekend, primarily because the guy who reported it has been systematically marginalized by his employer over the past couple of years.
According to ESPN’s John Clayton, a decision in the Brett Favre investigation could come within a week.
Clayton also reports that Sterger last week gave the league “the final visual evidence,” whatever that means. Clayton says that Favre is expected to be re-interviewed this week.
Though the obvious question is whether Favre sent lewd photos to Sterger, the question of whether the communications were welcome by Sterger becomes just as important, given that the potential violation of the Personal Conduct Policy arises from the possibility that Favre exposed a coworker to sexual harassment. The alleged conduct occurred in 2008, when Favre played for the Jets and when Sterger worked for the team as an in-house sideline reporter.
Favre previously admitted leaving voice messages for Sterger, but he denied (or at a minimum did not admit) sending the photos. A forensics expert has been hired to trace the electronic footprints created by photos of a body part that leaves an entirely different mark in the sand. If Favre ultimately is faced with clear evidence that he sent the photos and if he previously denied it, it could be awkward at best for him to say, “Yeah, I sent them. But she was into it.”

Good to see they have their Christmas gift already purchased for Brett. I wonder what kind of wrapping paper goes good with a probe.

I missed that booth on Careers Day.

if he hadn't unwrapped his probe in the first place they wouldn't have to be wrapping it back up.

Brett Favre Accuser -- Going Public with 'Evidence'?

If the NFL doesn't come down on Brett Favre for his alleged sexting scandal -- his accuser might go public with an "overabundance of evidence" ... this according to her manager.

Favre could get word any day now about potential punishment for allegedly sending Jenn Sterger photos of his penis while he was with the New York Jets ... and she was working as the team's stadium host.

Sterger's manager, Phil Reese, believes she "provided extensive evidence that irrefutably proves there was harassment" -- and adds, "No matter what happens Jenn has all legal remedies, including going public ... if the NFL doesn't clear her name."

Reese thinks an NFL reprimand of the Vikings QB would go a long way toward changing public opinion of Sterger.

Sterger's camp insists she has more evidence than the photos that have already come out. Reese adds, "We sincerely hope the league does the right thing."

                        • Even I am getting tired of this story. It's like watching a 3 hour movie that should have been edited down to 90 minutes.

                          • As with all things Brett, this will not happen cleanly. Mort and King both report that they expect little, if any action, against him. At which point, I would tune into the View and Greta for the remainder of the coverage.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

Or a Greatest Hits album that should have been a single.
