  • Not a bad starting lineup....

All guys who did or were expected to make the team, but are not or likely will not be available this weekend due to injuries:

D line - Harrell, Pickett and Neal

    Linebackers - Chillar, Barnett, Mathews

    Corners - Harris, Blackmon/Bell

    Safeties - Bigby, Burnett.

Missing one more D-line or linebacker.

That's a better defense than the Packers played with at times in the '70s and '80s.

The second corner spot would be pretty weak.

cmon be fair...did we have a team in the 70's? And our scab strike players were awesome!

And don't forget the fine coaching of Bart Starr and Forrest Gregg.

I'm confident somebody will step up and fill the open position this week.

Even with only 10 players that could be a better defense than some of those from the dark years...

You could also make the argument that this list of players would form a better defense than year 1 for most, perhaps all, expansion teams.

Yeah and the Safeties are iffy. If they're having a good day at the same time, they might work OK. But the secondary is suspect.

Obviously Picket and CMIII take some pressure off of them.

All that's important and a first is that MM pours on our 'O'. That for the entire game. Set up a running game and be patient, especially once it's established. Forget satisfying any need for 'the star factor'. He must manage his gameplan best to just get that win and know he can get it too.

              Be confident !

MM has to see and use this present available roster for 'just' the advantages it offers him. Get back to basics. Run and set up 'the pass' and be patient.

              GO MM!

Havner doesn't meet the eligibility criteria, The player's departure or unavailability has to be because of injury. The Packers let Havner go when healthy, even though they could have kept him.

The offense is building nicely, too.

                  TE - Finley
                  RBs - Grant and Starks
                  T - Tauscher

There are a number of questionables for my team, who may be too healthy to qualify!

Rodgers, Lee, Driver, Johnson and Clifton all are questionable for my team due to their apparent good health, for now! Johnson would have made it last week, and Clifton is week-to-week for my "Best-in-the-League" unavailable team. We will likely take a big hit next week when Harris, Bigby and Starks will likely not qualify.

Not due to an injury, unless you count possible childhood brain injuries, but Johnny Jolly would finish off a decent 4-3 lineup.

Sure would! Self-inflicted "unavailability" should count.

Does the injured D lineup beat the active lineup? I think it does

The active D is down to a practice squad player on it. I'm sure the injured guys would do just fine there.
