  • Anyone hear any updates on the injuries?

I know Picket reinjured his bad ankle and Jenkins strained something before the game , but does anyone have updates on their statuses?

These 2 guys will be key to stopping the Jets running game and if they are both back It'll be huge.

They never announce much on Monday. MM said if he had to put a status on Jenkins, it would be questionable. Sounds like it's the same injury he had in the preseason. Pickett reinjured his ankle. They need to figure out a way to clone Raji.

From MM's press conference and the js blog

      # LB Brady Poppinga (knee) and DEMike Neal (shoulder) will both have season-ending surgeries. Poppinga had a scope on Monday and after a second opinion it was determined he needed more work. It's the same knee he tore up in 2005. Neal tried to rehab, but it wasn't working.

      # Cullen Jenkins has a bad calf strain and depending on how he rebounds he could be out a while. It's a recurrence of an injury he's had a problem with before and the fact he hurt it warming up isn't a good sign.

      # He's very happy with the play of C.J. Wilson and Jarius Wynn in filling in for Cullen Jenkins and Ryan Pickett. Said B.J. Raji played more than 60 snaps. "He's played a lot of football for us" lately.

Good lord, we're gonna see Mike Montgomery trying to play end this week.

                    Sigh.

Isn't there some hulking defensive end out there who's played the 3-4 before? Where's Vonnie Holliday?

Adalius Thomas is not a defensive end, is he? Isn't he a linebacker?

And if Vonnie's still playing, then how about Sean Jones? He available?

DT Jay Ross is a guy they signed to their practice squad October 20. He may be a possibility if Pickett and Jenkins are going to be out.

DE Ronald Talley was released by the Packers on the final round of cuts. I don't think he's signed with anyone.
