Briggs & Bowling Green went against WI a few years back and he played really well against Joe Thomas. So I guess he was with the 49ers for a bit but stuck behind some pretty good LBs out there and went to the PS. Some niner fans were wanting to see him over Ahmed Brooks at OLB. Broncos promptly signed him, put him on the PS to activate later this season, and we swoop in and nabbed him.
Briggs is Bowling Green's all-time sack leader and was undersized coming out of college (230 range) so he went undrafted. He's supposedly around 250 right now. HGH? Good.

Nice to get some linebacker depth and this Briggs kid might turn out to be good. But why didn't we get some D-line help? Our d-line is in pretty bad shape, especially if Jenkins and Pickett are out.Comment
