Unlucky year with all these injuries.....hopefully this changes some of that bad luck
Here is to some good fortune the rest of the season!
Man - that's such a great memory. I remember exactly where I was and who I was watching the game with -- we went from complete frustration to celebration in a matter of minutes (a few times).
Go PACK!
The measure of who we are is what we do with what we have.

"Not really interested in being a spoiler or an underdog. We're the Green Bay Packers." McCarthy.
I didn't celebrate right away. I was absolutely shocked. I thought no way the cards were going to win and I accepted that there were no playoffs that year. Sometimes it is really better to be lucky than good. The Freeman catch was on my birthday so that one was special to me as well.
I seems like every time the game is close nowadays we always lose. Add to that two of the last three years the packers have had a lot of injured players. This team needs some luck to go with the wealth of talent it has.
Btw, Ahman Green is his prime was an absolute beast! Wish we could find another back like him.
I was at the Denver game. It was a great time. They weren't showing the score of the Minnesota game in the stadium but quite a few people around us were listening to the game on radios so the team essentially found out when the crowd starting going nuts. At first you could see the players looking a little perplexed as to why the crowd was cheering for no apparent reason. Once they realized it was because they were in the playoffs they started celebrating right along with us.
1980: Chester Marcol's freak touchdown: This is one of the most memorable plays in NFL History. The Packers and the Bears were tied at 6-6 in overtime. A 32-yard pass from Lynn Dickey to James Lofton helped set up a game-winning field goal attempt by Packers' kicker Chester Marcol. The Bears’ Alan Page managed to break through a block the field goal, with the football hitting his helmet. While it wasn’t immediately clear to the players what had happened, Marcol grabbed rebound off Page’s helmet and ran around the pile for a touchdown and the win.
After lunch the players lounged about the hotel patio watching the surf fling white plumes high against the darkening sky. Clouds were piling up in the west… Vince Lombardi frowned.
