I'm not sure it's rational to say that the stock of a QB who played behind a sieve of an offensive line is down. If the team around him was playing well, and he didn't produce, then perhaps your point would be valid. I think the play of the offensive line makes it difficult to really evaluate Flynn today.Originally posted by mmmdk View PostWhy so rational? And how are you making sense? You're defending a guy who isn't even a Mr. August? You cherish his football card that highly? A lot can be said to defend Flynn tonight, bad OL, not enough reps & bad calls by Stubby but Flynn simply didn't deliver on that 81 yard drive and threw the pick hence Lions drove for the lead and the win. But talent always shines - I saw meek talent tonight. Flynn looked toothless as in all of his pre-season games. Flynn can manage an offense but hasn't got "it" (as of now). Late blooming isn't out of the question.Originally posted by Cheesehead Craig View PostYou haven't made any argument or sense yet.
Lastly, Craig, frek your "how so?" attitude! You'll be working allllll night to conjure up the magic Flynn talent yourself. Oh, wait, you haven't and you won't! I'm waiting.PackerRats Thompson D. Yahoo Fantasy Football Champ 2019,

How about the entire career? Good grief, he is the Packer player that I like LEAST!Originally posted by Iron Mike View PostFrom JSO:

Overall, they have played better this year. That being said, they are still not good. The quality of the players is the best that it has been since Wahle and Rivera left, but they don't play well together.Originally posted by PaCkFan_n_MD View PostYep Colledge needs to go, so does Splitz. I believe that we are lacking a quality LG and perhaps a RT. Based on where you drafted Bulaga, you have to let him play at LT next year. If he doesn't make it there, we have a quality RT for years to come, I'd think. I do not believe that our LG is on the roster. Our RT (Lang), might be. Time will tell.
Long way to go. the OL has been our achilles heel for 4 years running now.

Boy, the OL's performance tonight and last week against SF was disturbing. I thought they were heading in the right direction but both teams got constant pressure w/o blitzing. I dont know about anyone else but it seemed to me that Buluga watched his guy hit or chase our QB most of the day today. Not a very good game by him, hopefully he will bounce back.Originally posted by PaCkFan_n_MD View PostYep Colledge needs to go, so does Splitz. We need a new o-line.

All I can say is that I am glad I left at halftime to cut down the XMas tree.
As for the game, the O line had another horrible game on turf. And Wells will need to be replaced of Suh is going to own the Packers for 10 years.Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

I disagree. From the start, there have been those who felt that Bulaga's best position is LG, and that he has the potential to be a Pro Bowl player there. If that's the case, putting him there and drafting another Tackle this year might make sense. Whatever they do, I think they need someone better than Colledge at LG, and won't improve much as a unit until they do.Originally posted by retailguy View PostOverall, they have played better this year. Maybe you're right. But I don't think you make that move without letting him wash out at LT. But you make a great point. That's kind of what happened with Gallery in Oakland.Originally posted by Joemailman View PostI disagree. Colledge is definitely the weak link on the line, but Wells isn't far behind. Today really exposed him for what he is, and that's marginal. Love the guys effort, if we could give that effort to Colledge we'd really have someone who could play, but Wells is not capable of playing against Suh now, and the guy is a rookie. Give Suh another year, and, well lets not go there.
