The Bears defense surrendered 34 points to the MAC quality offense that is the NY Jets. Marinelli might not be the savior you think him to be.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

Just like to say this.............we should have drafted Robert Meacham as many of us noted pre draft and in the thread
TERD Buckley over Troy Vincent, Robert Ferguson over Chris Chambers, Kevn King instead of TJ Watt, and now, RICH GANNON, over JIMMY JIMMY JIMMY LEONARD. Thank you FLOWER

Has anybody taken a look at the stats? I give the Bears credit for winning, but they smell like a team that will get exposed in the playoffs. Hopefully, by us.

              completely agree

If we come ready to play the only explicable way da Bears beat us would be several slouch Slocum ST breakdowns

If not for those we'd have beat them the first time as well

They clearly have an advantage in special teams. Like Bretsky said, if we don't let their special teams beat us, we should win the game.

I was really hoping we would get Jenkins and Zombo back for this game but that doesn't sound like it will be the case. Ah well, maybe in the playoffs.

The injuries to Bigby and Hall have me concerned, more shuffling on ST.

                      Forgot.

                      Penalty yards

                      GB 587 (3rd fewest)
                      CHI 722 (15th)

Think about that. More than 1/4 of our penalty yards for the season was in the first Bears game. We had 18 penalties for 152 yards (compared to 3 for the Bears). In the other 14 games, we had 435 yards in penalties.

Even with that game, we are just 32 yards from being the least penalized team in the NFL.

Interesting note in the Press Gazette:

“We had two interceptions that we gave them back,” Packers defensive coordinator Dom Capers said. “If we make one of them, the game’s probably over. We had two others in our hands that we didn’t make. So it went from being a three to five interception game to one. If you want to win games like that, you’ve got to make those. You can’t make them and then give them back to them.”

It would have seemed unfathomable at the time, but the Packers have gone on to be one of the least-penalized teams in the NFL. Through Sunday’s games, they were tied for fourth in fewest penalties committed with 74 (not including ones that were declined) and were third in fewest penalty yards with 587.

They had just three fouls for 31 yards in Sunday’s 45-17 win over the New York Giants. Two of those were defensive infractions – an illegal contact against cornerback Charles Woodson and a pass interference against cornerback Tramon Williams. That snapped a streak of eight straight games in which the defense committed zero or one penalty. The last multiple-penalty game by the defense was the Oct. 17 loss to Miami.

                        Bears are scary because:

                        1. ST's
                        2. Great turnover forcing defense

                        Packers are scary because:

                        1. Passing offense and great at limiting turnovers
                        2. Stingy defense

This is two evenly matched teams. It's another great game, but man, I don't want the season to end. I really hope we pull this out and I know we can.

I thought this game had some sort of implications for us should the unthinkable happen and we lose next week.

I think we WANT Phily to win and stay in the #2 spot

If Phily falls to 3rd seed GB might have to travel to Phily instead of Chicago................Phily terrifies me
