  • Nnamdi Asomugha a PACKER? This guy thinks so.

Former Raiders beat writer David White believes impending free agent Nnamdi Asomugha will end up with the Jets or Packers.
"I know him well. ... Mark it down," said White. After suffering through eight seasons in Oakland, White says Asomugha wants to play for a winner. The shutdown corner has said he'd like to play for Jets coach Rex Ryan, while his best friend is Packers CB Charles Woodson. Asomugha will command a pretty penny, however, and it isn't Green Bay GM Ted Thompson's style to break the bank for free agents. New York makes more sense because Antonio Cromartie isn't signed for 2011. Asomugha is also a better fit for a man-coverage scheme like Ryan's.Source: David White on Twitter.

The Jets are claiming they will not sign him as they need to sign their own players first. Boy, that sure sounds like the Packers philosophy too. I also dont think TT will make this move because of the secondary we have now. Where would he fit? But what a secondary if C-Wood would move to S! C-Wood and Nick at S. Williams, Asomugha and Shields at CB. WOW! But again, I dont see this as happening. Just fun to read the rumors!

Didnt he break Dangle gate 2010 and interviewed the cop in the Big Ben fiasco? I think he also was mysterious gamble #4 in the Vick case...just sayin
Swede: My expertise in this area is extensive. The essential difference between a "battleship" and an "aircraft carrier" is that an aircraft carrier requires five direct hits to sink, but it takes only four direct hits to sink a battleship.

            .
[QUOTE=George Cumby] ...every draft (Ted) would pick a solid, dependable, smart, athletically limited linebacker...the guy who isn't doing drugs, going to strip bars, knocking around his girlfriend or making any plays of game changing significance.
