The accolades can't be overstated for that game. What a historic performance.

You're not supposed to do what he's doing in the playoffs. Especially not 3 times. Brady, Manning, and Brees have wet dreams about being Aaron Rodgers right now.

My question is why didn't we let BF go sooner? This kid is just something else, I just wish we hadn't wasted 2 of his years on the bench.
Anyone still think Alex Smith is better? I remember being stoked when he was in free fall and even more so when TT actually took him. Great 1st pick for our GM.

Rodgers will make you chase him all over the field before embarrasing you. Maybe I give an edge to Rodgers for wearing out bigger defensive linemen with is mobility, but Favre could certainly make a guy miss.
Early in his career, Favre did run out of the pocket a lot, and would have 200 or so rushing yards each season. Not the runner that Rodgers is now, but he did move and throw out of the pocket, or would pull it down and run. He became a lot different the last half of his career.

Mike Ditka said this, and I'll try to paraphrase, "I've been around this game for 50 some years. That was the best individual performance I've ever seen in the playoffs." For what that's worth.

He wasn't really ready until 2007, so he really only "wasted" one year. Those 3 years behind Favre really helped him. He learned which traits of Favre to adopt, and which to avoid.

One thing I noticed. . . . There were very few long throws. Everything was short to mid. I think that's important. It seems our offense functions best when we're throwing short-mid.

Hence the resurgence of Donald Driver, who has 16 catches in the last 3 games. He's still gold on 3rd down.

Swede: My expertise in this area is extensive. The essential difference between a "battleship" and an "aircraft carrier" is that an aircraft carrier requires five direct hits to sink, but it takes only four direct hits to sink a battleship.

good point. Accurate and playing with confidence. BF minus the interceptions.

IMO must win a super bowl to be considered with the elite qbs.

Nice article. Should be a nice 10+ year stretch minus the drama.

I'm spamming this idea because I am in love with it.:

                              TV Commercial:

ARod walks into a Sears making rapid fire decisions on what to buy while D-linemen miss hitting him time and again --crashing into stuff as ARod continues cool under the pressure. As he walks out of the store with an entourage carrying his stuff he stops when he sees Brent still staring at the TV's.

AR: Make up your mind yet?

                              BF: Nope.
[QUOTE=George Cumby] ...every draft (Ted) would pick a solid, dependable, smart, athletically limited linebacker...the guy who isn't doing drugs, going to strip bars, knocking around his girlfriend or making any plays of game changing significance.

He's good in cold weather too.

Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is 7-3 when the game-time temperature is 30 degrees or below. He has 25 touchdowns and five interceptions in those games.
"There's a lot of interest in the draft. It's great. But quite frankly, most of the people that are commenting on it don't know anything about what they are talking about."--Ted Thompson
