Michael Bennett Traded to Chiefs

Looks like the Saints cleared up some of their crowded backfield by trading Bennett to the Chiefs for an undisclosed 2007 draft choice.

I know many in the forum were a fan of his and I must admit I'm kind of a homer on that as well being that he's an ex badger but I just couldn't see giving up a draft choice for a player we could have signed as a FA. He's also turning 28 next week and thus isn't a young gun any more.

I still think Calhoun is going to be a very good NFLer and that had he stayed for another season and entered the draft in 2007 he would have been a 1st rounder. I was so hoping we'd get him in the 3rd round.
