...one in 1,900 Green Bay residents is a Packers' fan...
How can that be? What is the definition? Less than 60% of the population of Green Bay being a fan would astonish me, much less "one in 1,900."
[QUOTE=George Cumby] ...every draft (Ted) would pick a solid, dependable, smart, athletically limited linebacker...the guy who isn't doing drugs, going to strip bars, knocking around his girlfriend or making any plays of game changing significance.

I think he meant 'player' instead of 'fan'.

Not sure why it's been up for days without correction.

Those numbers make sense that way, Mish.

Does making that exception open the door for a GB (or Buffalo???) Super Bowl?
I think its a done deal, the super bowl will be played in the NJ in either 2013 or 2014. Reward for Jets/Giants for building a new stadium, but it has no roof and that part of the country can get lots of snow and cold weather in early February. Can you imagine the faux fans who actually can afford to go to a SB showng up during a snowstorm? in 15 degree weather?
Green Bay was ruled out by someone in the NFL league office simply because the city does not have the infrastructure (including strip clubs) to accommodate the masses.

Back to the subject...I live just to the west of FW and work in FW and the weather has shut this place down. They can't handle this. I think every school in the DFW area is closed again today. They don't salt the road so it's all still ice.

Not a lot of snow at all, the problem is that it was 60 and raining on Monday before it turned cold. Rain-sleet-snow. Now it's 8 degrees with a stiff wind. Apparently cowboys (and their horses) don't care for the ice or cold weather much.
