  • Rodgers Voted FedEx Air NFL Player Of The Year....

....that is unless they screw up the announcement

    The Bottom Line:
Formally Numb, same person, same views of M3

If this had been UPS or DHL, I would have been impressed. FedEx, not so much. What does the Gecko think of Rodgers?

Nice recognition, although I really don't see how Brady doesn't get it with 36 TD's and 4 INT's.

          Simple.
"What have you done for me lately" seems to fit here.

If the voting includes the playoffs, I would agree. However, my understanding is that it does not.

Maybe Brady should have gotten it in order to keep the anger flowing in Dallas. ARod could have added to the perceived snubs already handed out to MM and CM III, snubs that could only be assuaged by the cool metallic heft of a Lombardi trophy and a sweet shower of champagne.

[QUOTE=George Cumby] ...every draft (Ted) would pick a solid, dependable, smart, athletically limited linebacker...the guy who isn't doing drugs, going to strip bars, knocking around his girlfriend or making any plays of game changing significance.

These Fedex awards are strictly fan voting so it's not much of a surprise that Arog won.

Oh, so it's like a Chunky soup deal?

Green Bay fans rock at that stuff.

Cool. Hopefully the first of several individual awards....with the team getting the Lombardi Trophy

Yeah! They were even saying on NFL Network when the award was announced that "Green Bay fans are relentless in their support" and all the commentators kind of nodded along like "yep, yep...". The guys were surprised Brady didn't win before Eisen reminded them of the voting process. No objections after that. Kinda funny.

I'm really looking forward to Progressive Auto Insurances' Player of the Year. The Award Ceremony should be interesting...
