Swede: My expertise in this area is extensive. The essential difference between a "battleship" and an "aircraft carrier" is that an aircraft carrier requires five direct hits to sink, but it takes only four direct hits to sink a battleship.

Green's history made for a nice story at the Super Bowl. Played for team after team after team. Released time and time again, year after year after year. Could never "stick" anywhere. Refused to give up even when no one wanted him for a whole season. Gets picked up by GB while cross-country driving home from NY. Abandons his car to get to the nearest airport with flights in bad weather to get to GB as soon as he possibly can. Plays a huge part in the game that weekend against his former team because the Packers are flat out of d-lineman. Then, makes a huge play in the Super Bowl to force an interception returned by Collins for a TD.Originally posted by KYPack View PostBTW, have any of you seen the pic of Howard Green leaving the field with tears in his eyes?
Lemme know where I can see it if you have.
On top of that, you hear that during the season he was doing everything that he could to help the younger D-lineman, teach them what he could, to the very guys who might cause him to be released next year or the year after.
Guys like Howard Green deserve a Super Bowl.

Yes, they do. The team should have a Bruce Wilkerson Award for occasions such as these. And engraved on the base of the trophy (I think it should depict a junkyard created from automobile parts) can read the inscription: "Thanks For Saving Our Ass"Originally posted by Patler View PostGreen's history made for a nice story at the Super Bowl. Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

With that lawless crowd
While the killers in high places
Say their prayers out loud
But they've summoned, they've summoned up
A thundercloud

Thanx Joe. Cut 10 times in his NFL career. Gets signed by GB the week before they play the Jets, the team that cut him. Has a great game against the Jets and busts his ass in every game, reg & play-off. Gets his first NFL sack against the Bears to help clinch the play-offs.
Comes up huge against the Steelers to cause Collins pick.
He was staring at the end of his career and winds up with a Super Bowl Ring.
Think the victory meant anything to that guy?
He's ugly, but that's a beautiful picture.

You like Collin's kids playing in confetti? How about a fully grown (and operational) Matt Wilhelm and daughter.

Getting craftier. Hot linking no longer working, at least by the usual method.
