So players can sign contracts between now and March 3rd?
That's the beginning of the new league year, right? So the start of the free agency period coincides with the expiration of the contract.

Don't know what the players are thinking, but with how little movement there's been on the CBA front, you'd expect them to be anxious to agree to a contract with a signing bonus...might be the last payday they see in a while.
