Driver still had some pretty solid numbers this past season DESPITE the constant nagging injuries.

When he's healthy he clearly hasn't lost much of anything. The question is if he can stay healthy. There is no questiona obut how tough he is and what he can paly through, but he need sto stay healthy to retain the #2 slot.

For his sake I hope he does because he is the type of packer player you just want to see do well for however long they play. Hopefully that quad injury (or whatever it was) that nagged him all year will finally get back to close to 100% for next season. As long as that doesn't linger I don't actually recall Driver having really any other injury. It was just the same injury all season long that never got time to heal because, well, this is the nfl and you play every week.

Sorry to say this but Driver is the 4th most talented WR on the team. Glad he got a ring but I think he declined this year and not just b/c the injury. If JJ and Nelson would stop dropping easy passes I don't think there is even a debate that those two are better players at this point. But I will say this, Driver is a lot more consistent with his opportunities.

i think the injury affected him more than you think. we'll see how it is coming out of camp. i think he's got another year as a starter
        left in him.

And what is their #1 responsibility? To catch the damn ball. Driver still has some of the best hands on this talented roster, and you would be very hard pressed to ever rank Jones ahead of Driver right now.

Your going to be very hard pressed to say that Driver, healthy, is unable to do what he did in those two videos anymore. Excellent route runner, great after the catch, and some pretty solid hands.

Nelson is faster, Jones has a better physical body for it, but Driver is the most consistent. That is the bottom line and I'm sticking to it.

Hmm. Driver had a lot of drops this year, and the past couple years if I recall. Just as much as Jones and Jordy did anyway. There is no denying Driver makes some great catches, but he also drops some easy ones.

I wish drops were tracked properly, but I'm willing to bet his drops were definitely much lower than Jones this year.

There's some damn good receivers on that list. I'm not surprised that Driver has 1 more than Jones. Jones tends to drop balls that would have gone for a big gain, therefore we tend to remember them more.

Really. A 16th ranking is good for what we may consider an off season for Donald Driver.

                        McGinn's Numbers:

                        Jennings dropped 6 of 159 (3.77%)
                        Driver dropped 7 of 101 (6.93%)
                        Jones dropped 10 of 101 (9.9%)
                        Nelson dropped 10 of 92 (10.87%)

To me, dropping a pass that is TECHNICALLY catchable, but probably has a 50/50 chance is one thing. Dropping a pass that hits you right in the numbers is quite another. I'm more pissed off at the ones that are clear lapses in concentration. That was what was really disappointing about Driver's drops this year. He had several that were lapses in concentration, which were extremely rare in the past. Perhaps the injuries contributed to it? It seemed nearly all of Jones' drops were of the mental kind as well.
It's such a GOOD feeling...13 TIME WORLD CHAMPIONS!!
