Two jabs at Bush already. He just earned (yes, EARNED) himself a Super Bowl ring less than a month ago, and you guys at like it didn't even happen. It did-

This year? No need. There are only two CBs invited to the combine between 5104 and 5110: Shareece Wright of USC, and Johnny Patrick of Louisville.Originally posted by JustinHarrell View PostIf Thompson can adjust that by 1/2" he'd open himself up to a lot of great players.
The following CBs invited to the combine are above 5'11": Cortez Allen (the Citadel), Prince Amukamara (Nebraska), Chykie Brown (Texas), Curtis Brown (Texas), Jalil Brown (Colorado, Brandon Burton (Utah), Mario Butler (Georgia Tech), Chimdi Chekwa (Ohio State), Chris Culliver (South Carolina), Ras-I Dowling (Virginia), Davon House (New Mexico State), Curtis Marsh (Utah State), Byron Maxwell (Clemson), Andrew McGee (Oklahoma State), Patrick Peterson (LSU), Justin Rodgers (Richmond), Chris Rucker (Michigan State), Kevin Rutland (Missouri), Richard Sherman (Stanford), Jimmy Smith (Colorado), Devon Torrence (Ohio State), DeMarcus Van Dyke (Miami), and Aaron Williams (Texas).
Thompson has a lot to pick from this year without really changing his standards.</delurk>

For purposes of completeness here are the CBs at the combine shorter than both Thompson's apparent standard 5'11" and JH's proposed standard 5'10 1/2"
Niles Brinkley (Wisconsin), Kendric Burney (North Carolina), Rashad Carmichael (Virginia Tech), Vance Cuff (Georgia), Marcus Gilchrist (Clemson), Brandon Harris (Miami), Brandon Hogan (West Virginia), Buster Skrine (Chattanooga), Josh Thomas (Buffalo), Brandyn Thompson (Boise State).
Pretty good crop of tall corners this year.</delurk>

I like Harrell's standards. I think if you're going to go that route then you have to really check out a guy's athletic ability; verts and broad jumps are important. Tramon can get up and Shields, well, maybe not as much but he's usually in great position.
Buckley just doesn't even fit a character type that TT would seem to go after. Even Carroll. I can't imagine either of those guys worked as hard in the film room as Tramon and Sam.
Nnamdi - 6'2"
Revis - 5'11"
Bailey - 6'0"
Flowers - 5'10"
McCourty - 5'10"
Winfield - 5'9"
Grimes - 5'10"
Champ Bailey was actually the only CB on the Pro Bowl roster who was 6' or greater FWIW... I actually had Flowers and NA on the list before i looked up the rosters btw.
I think times are changin' a bit. Hopefully TT is on board.

Pretty good crop of tall corners this year.[QUOTE=George Cumby] ...every draft (Ted) would pick a solid, dependable, smart, athletically limited linebacker...the guy who isn't doing drugs, going to strip bars, knocking around his girlfriend or making any plays of game changing significance.

But my God the speed, the hips, the pouty expression!Originally posted by Lurker64 View PostHe's also real, real short (5094). It's not the size of the guyz, it's the motion of the ocean. Unless you're Terrell Buckley being "brutalized" by Alvin Harper. Then I guess size does matter. Maybe that's why Lovie got extended in Chicago."The Devine era is actually worse than you remember if you go back and look at it."

I saw a lot of your hilarious posts from yesterday, and I thought the LSD would have worn off by now. Did you drop another tab? Are the colors pretty?Originally posted by Fritz View PostIt's not the size of the guyz, it's the motion of the ocean. Unless you're Terrell Buckley being "brutalized" by Alvin Harper. I suppose we can't expect a Swede who looks like you do in your avatar to know that LSD can last longer than one day. And yes, the colors taste beautiful. I am hearing pastel blues and greens right the dog walked over the fence. Zits. Did anyone else notice that Lee seemed to be wearing hamstring pads in the Superbowl? What was up with that?
BTW, Underwood could totally shut down Darren Charles."Never, never ever support a punk like mraynrand. Rather be as I am and feel real sympathy for his sickness." - Woodbuck

BTW, Underwood could totally shut down Darren Charles.Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

One undrafted player panning out can mean the difference between 9-7 and SB champs.
I don't have much hope for Underwood, Bush or Lee. We could use another backup corner that shows some skill and talent (not just talent.)
5 CLAP POST
We can leave Underwood and Lee behind. Torn on Bush as he did make some ST playsTERD Buckley over Troy Vincent, Robert Ferguson over Chris Chambers, Kevn King instead of TJ Watt, and now, RICH GANNON, over JIMMY JIMMY JIMMY LEONARD. Thank you FLOWER

Agree about Underwood. I think Lee still has a chance if he can stay healthy. Bush is a quality ST guy who should be no better than 5th on the depth chart at CB. TT needs to draft a quality CB, which, strangely, he hasn't been able to do yet. This is the one position where he's gotten it done in free agency more than the draft.I can't run no more
