First the Loveboat drama, then the Starcaps scandal, Favre drama, Moss failed trade, Chilly firing, the Metrodome collapse, and now this:

Vikings CB Chris Cook arrested for gun

With the NFL in a lockout and the union decertified, players can run amuck. there is no personal conduct policy at this moment, and no means of enforcing one anyway.

Congratulations to Vikings cornerback Chris Cook – he’s the first player to take advantage of the free pass. The second-year pro was arrested in his hometown of Lynchburg, VA for brandishing a handgun during a fight.

WSET.com reports that Cook was arrested shortly after 5:30 p.m. Saturday evening.

It’s possible that the NFL and players could decide in the next labor deal that the personal conduct policy applies even during the lockout (it would be retroactively enforced). Cook would be wise to resolve the issue quickly. (Or just not get in fights in the first place.)

Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

Classic. Also not sure if the moss trade was really a failed idea - more like failure of coaching. Guy is there for a couple weeks and you just drop him at the behest of the entire team and the owners? At least give the guy a chance to settle in. He was drawing double teams like mad and Harvin was getting open a lot underneath, wasn't that the real point of bringing him in? It almost allowed the vikings to beat us at our house.

I mean grant it, the season may have been lost by thte time they dropped him, but at least they could of sold more jersey's and made a bit of extra money on the side, despite whatever comments he made.

              Viking passing stats with Moss:
              14-34 264 3 TDs 1INT
              14-19 118 1TD
              16-29 212 1TD 3INTs
              22-32 259 1 INT

              64-114 853 5 TDs 5 INTs
              Averages: 213.25 YPG 1.25TDPG 1.25INTPG

Now that is a fearsome attack.

              The week after he leaves:
              36-47 446 2TDs 2INTs

PS- Maybe their QB was the real issue.

But Rodgers leads the league in frumpy expressions and negative body language on the sideline, which makes him, like Josh Allen, a unique double threat.

I bet he knows how to fire off the line of scrimmage on a blitz.
