And yes.Last edited by swede; 04-19-2011, 01:39 PM.[QUOTE=George Cumby] ...every draft (Ted) would pick a solid, dependable, smart, athletically limited linebacker...the guy who isn't doing drugs, going to strip bars, knocking around his girlfriend or making any plays of game changing significance.

Stop flushing those new mega large condoms down the toilet.Originally posted by SkinBasket View PostWell getting back to the point of this thread, which was racism, I'll have another chance to test my white worker/black worker theory today. Roto Rooter is coming soon. We'll see how they do.After lunch the players lounged about the hotel patio watching the surf fling white plumes high against the darkening sky. He's already setting the bar low, talking about how his equipment may not be able to get through mud. All this after being late. Appointment window 11a-1p. This guy gets here @ 4:30p. Do I smell a little racism?"You're all very smart, and I'm very dumb." - Partial

Jerry Rice says Newton is getting criticism for shitty accuracy and not because he's black. What an Uncle Tom. Rice has never been a black quarterback, so he can never know what racism is!-

A few years ago while vacationing in Mexico; I had a little bout of Montezuma's revenge. There was a Mexico history book in the room, and needless to say, I had ample reading opportunities. The Mexican blood and the Spanish blood are two different things, in fact, they have their own little racism/prejudice arguments around this particular issue.Originally posted by Tarlam! Cortez burned his boats and that set it all in motion. After lunch the players lounged about the hotel patio watching the surf fling white plumes high against the darkening sky. Clouds were piling up in the west… Vince Lombardi frowned.

More racists viciously attack Cam Newton! It's a hate crime!-
White on black violence! Modern day slavery! Put the whips away you fucking crackers!Almost half of the 24 executives in personnel, mostly general managers or scouting directors, interviewed by the Journal Sentinel in the last three weeks said they wouldn't feel comfortable taking Newton anywhere in the first round.
Twice as many personnel men projected that Newton would end up as a bust instead of a superstar.
"He's got all the talent in the world," said Tom Heckert, general manager of the Cleveland Browns. "But I don't know if anybody knows what you're getting."
Newton, the driving force behind Auburn's national championship, isn't even the top-rated quarterback in the draft based on the consensus of scouts.
The scouts also were asked a multiple-choice question on how Newton's career would play out.
Two said Newton would be a perennial Pro Bowler, nine said he'd be a solid starter, nine said he'd play but never be effective and four said he'd be a bust.
When the personnel men were asked in which round they'd be comfortable drafting Newton, the replies were 13 in the first, seven in the second, three in the third and one not at all.
Throughout his young life, Newton has been a lightning rod for intense discussion. It certainly is the same way in NFL draft rooms.
"I got emotional about it in our meetings," said one scout. "Our coaches just ripped his (expletive), but I'd take him top-10. This guy is so talented, so much a winner, such a force. He has won two national championships back-to-back (junior college in 2009).
"It's just a matter of time, getting better with his accuracy. If people can be patient with Peyton Manning losing almost every game his first year, then why can't they be patient with this guy? Is this a different standard for Newton?
"He's got a lot of baggage, there's no doubt about it. But they're not all clean. There's just something about this guy."
On the other hand, Newton has been arrested for possession of a stolen laptop (charges were dropped after he participated in pretrial community service), was suspended for two weeks before the start of his freshman year at Florida for academic cheating and was the central figure in an NCAA investigation that determined his father asked Mississippi State boosters for $180,000 to sign his son. Newton denied any knowledge.
"He would scare me to death to take," another scout said. "He's got so many unanswered questions.
"Athletically, he can do it. But I don't know about him mentally. The off-the-field stuff. The commitment. He's only done it for one year. I would not want to be Carolina betting the whole franchise on him. You'd feel much better if it was somebody who needed a quarterback in a year."
