        • Yet another braniac high-character guy--here's a profile: http://www.deseretnews.com/article/7...sive-line.html
          Teamwork is what the Green Bay Packers were all about. They didn't do it for individual glory. They did it because they loved one another.

            Yes but with a few 7th rounders, you can get the jump on everyone else.
            Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

                * Scouting Report

                A long, thinner lineman who lacks a great initial first step off the snap. Consistently allows defensive linemen to get into and under his frame off the snap and he can routinely be overwhelmed vs. the bull rush. Lacks the bend to consistently gain leverage on contact and struggles with his overall base strength vs. more physical defenders. Showcases above-average lateral agility when asked to mirror in pass protection and when he is patient he does a nice job extending his arms and working his hands through the play. However, too often he lunges into defenders tying to get on them prematurely and can be easily slipped on contact and gives up penetration inside. Looks more comfortable sliding his feet and mirroring in space, but even so he isn't real heavy handed and struggles to lock out and win a block outside. Isn't a guy who will ever drive anyone off the snap in the run game, but has the length and body control to seal at times when he has a chance to get out of his stance. But overall, lacks the first step and overall range to be much of a factor in the run game at the line or at the second level in the NFL.

                Impression: Is a nice-sized kid, but struggles to anchor inside, lacks great initial burst off the football and struggles to win blocks outright at the college level. Nothing more than a camp body at this stage.
                Add in plays angry and he sounds like Barbre, but with less run blocking. Puzzler.

                      It's hard for me to get too excited about Utah linemen - unless they're Samoan or Tongan.

                        • I was kind of intrigued to look at Tyrod Taylor, the very next pick. I know they have Rodgers, Flynn and Harrell, but he's such a good athlete, they might have been able to talk him off of wanting to be a QB. Ah well, the Ravens got him.

                              • Jones was a great value pick for the Giants.
