  • An agent dislikes the salary cap!

One of the more ridiculously reasoned arguments I have read recently:

Football betting news and picks with focus on NFL, college football and sports betting legalization updates across the United States.

Comments after the article sum it up quite well.
    The salary cap begot parity.
    Parity begot competitiveness.
    Competitiveness begot increased fan interest.
Increased fan interest begot increased advertiser opportunities.
Increased advertiser opportunities begot increased advertiser fees.
Increased advertiser fees begot increased broadcast rights payments.
Increased broadcast right payments begot increased salaries to the players.

There is another whole branch of the salary cap tree from which increased fan interest begot higher ticket prices, increased souvenir prices and demand leading to increased team income and increased player salaries.

I love his points at how Akili Smith, Tim Couch and Dante Culpepper would have been better QBs if not for the cap. That's hysterical.

If the cap increases, Rosenpenis will ensure that Pryor is a better QB. Or at least he'll charge more for memorabilia!

What worries me is that people in the Decision Making Unit with the power to sway the discussion actually believe this shit, or 3-4 owners.
